chances are its your rear main seal. hows your oil psi? you could try a stop leak if you dont know much about vehicles and see if that helps expand the seal, check your valve covers, head gaskets and the oil pump mickeymouse seal, if its your rear main seal, well your in the same place as i am and just wait till your next clutch change, if its your valve cover gasket then your in luck, its super easy to replace, it its your oil pump, theres some work but not much to fix it, if its your head gaskets (worse case senario) theres quite a bit of work to replace them but its possible. or your cam seals but those are slow leaks and you wouldn't be complaining. and as DaveT said, use 10w-40 but (highmileage) oil, the difference is it has additives that help the seals, i buy the oreilly 10w-30 highmileage full synthetic oil, but the reason im using 10w-30 and not 10w-40 is because ive replaced my lifters and oil pump and what not. i am at 215,xxx on my EA82 let us know your situation! Edit: i compleately forgot about the oilpan square gasket, forgot i had done that project to my vehicle.. under the vehicle where your drain plug is theres i think 18 screws, 6,6 and 3,3 around the oil pan, check that also.

love the 4 headlights on these older vehicles, gives it a mean and unique look. -
where are you going to find parts for that EA62 sir? if anything breaks on it, i dont even know what to tell you, put the effort of swapping into another engine.

get the parking light bulb housing, they break over time and heat for no reason, mudflaps, one of mine dissapeared when i went too fast through a flooded road, good thing i have a parts/donor vehicle also. check if your tail light has any water leaks, i seem to notice that alot at the junkyard. take the hatch shocks that raise it up and hold it, take the handle lock cover, the plastic is very delicate and a scratch will make it crumble overtime for some reason, couple vents incase you break one, definetly take the computer brain as Dinky26 stated, this is especially good when troubleshooting something wrong in your vehicle and suspect its the computer. checking on your profile you own a 93 loyale and this parts vehicle your getting is a loyale also, just make sure their both same color computer boxes, they should be gray on loyales i think. the boots to the steering arm. balljoints on the end of the steering rod. take the skidplate if it has one ofcourse all the bulbs on the vehicle including dash and interior lights. those old jesus fuses i call them since i can't find them at the autoparts store, their next to the antifreeze reservoir in the small black box. all the fuses under the steering wheel resistor pack for your fan speed. windshield wiper motor alternator, starter, compressor. and the transmission dipstick if their the same kind, they break very easily if you insert it 180degrees the other way, unless you have the non flexible dipstick, i have the one that flexes. and ofcourse anything else you like or need like seatbelts or power mirrors or if your mirrors are rusting on the inside, their seems to be alot of decoration stuff in the engine bay, like a cover between the oil dipstick and thermostat, bunch of clips like one that holds the starter cable up, spark plug wire clips (bunch of those) but i dont know what kind of person you are if you care about all these smalls. oh and take the distributor also ($200-$220) at oreillys or autozone. also your 93 loyale doesn't have an oil psi or battery voltage gauge if im correct, but this other loyale your getting might have them, not sure if you care about more gauges. sucks that you have to scrap it in a month or so, im keeping mine incase i need a door or hood, let me know if it has quadheadlights (sealed beams) i have the 2 big beam 9004 headlights, chances are very slim since loyales never came with them but easily swapped from a DL, ill buy them from you.

Will 2nd Gen BRZ Ever Happen?
Subasaurus replied to MR_Loyale's topic in BRZ and its Sister the Scion FRS/Toyota GT86
that is why ive questioned subarus quality today, the laws and new vehicles how their built, im not so sure if their build is the same way, i love the small details subaru puts into their old vehicles like instead of a Z shape on the door lock bars inside, theres actually a bolt to calibrate it with, you can move and calibrate the window thanks to the ovaled out shaped in the holes where the bolts go, everything on the vehicle is calibrateable, not sure about new subarus. love the blue on the Brz but then again, i don't buy new subarus because i don't know much about the quality that has gone to them due to the fact that their pretty much Toyota now. -
i didn't understand Loyale 2.7 Turbo's first comment, thought he was talking about him thinking it was a turbocharger and to not make fun of him, now i see he was talking about the compressor, which now turned out to be a turbocharger. and i think Montana Tom was being serious and not trying to make fun of him. so im confused now..

not so much the Cruze, but more like an Aveo, or a FIAT, theres a reason why FIAT left the United States in the 1970's. i HATE their stupid 4dr egg, it was already ugly, hey!! lets make it a 4door and make it look as awkward as possible. -
2 A/C compressors... now theres something you don't see everyday, but what i dont understand is why?? just use R12 instead of 134a, cools so much better, pitty that its illegal in the United States because of ozone stuff, even though our neighbor Mexico and pretty much the rest of the world is still using them, were the only ones that are shooting at ourselves.

yeah and to think the junkyard gives people only about $125-$250 for them, and then crushes and melts the brat to be turned into a hyundai. -
13 mm Square Differential Tool
Subasaurus replied to Silas Cruse's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
ohh theres a special tool for this? LMAO i used my half inch breaker bar to flush my differential fluids, so a breaker bar isn't the right tool but it does the job.. funny. -

this is why you dont see many cars between the years 1996-2001, and if you do see one, its in terrible condition with the body being 7different colors. and that gap is just going to grow and eventually be 1996-2015. -

it has been deleted :/ Update: it was actually sold, that was fast. -
also set the vehicle up on jackstands, all 4 tires floating in the air, this will relax your suspension and tension and avoid flat spots on your tires, usually they fix after a couple of days of running it but sometimes they don't. my 1993 impreza has been sitting since July 2014 since i have older subarus i like to drive more, but i make sure i atleast start the car for 10min every sunday, if i have time, that same sunday i drive it around for about 10miles and park it again for another week, if im in a hurry, i just start it up, 2min later i turn it back off but make sure next week i do it correctly.

yeah me personally, and this is me not wanting to sell my vehicles but if i had to, i would want 5grand for my 79DL, 4,500 for my 89GL, 3grand for my 90loyale, and 6grand for my 93 impreza. and even if someone did offer me that, it would hurt me so bad that i don't think i would sleep all night. so i probably wouldn't sell it anyways, the pain is just too much, and someone crashing into me? man i don't even want to think about that happening, it would be a very sad day, no actually very sad year.. -

and thanks to the government taking like 4grand for our junk vehicles now even though new cars are already overpriced and by trading in your 70's vehicle they discount 4 grand and your left with like wow someone is actually going to give me 4 grand for my old car, yeah! but instead its the other way around and old cars are all gone and people are just realizing what a stupid mistake they did back in the early 2000s so now were left with like 5% of survivors to restore, part out, and have fun in winter and the beach with them. also did you know that new cars are now being tracked and that was a main reason government didn't want old cars on the road? oh and their not rigged to break so your not forced into an endless cycle of buying a new vehicle every 7years, buy a new car, more taxes to our government, the only stupid people are us for buying new vehicles, i really hate this country sometimes. -
Gray Perforated Headliner For '86 GL
Subasaurus replied to Subarule's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
bump, dont know where to get them but i've always loved the perforated headliner that came on the early models, its almost like you can't focus on them and makes you dizzy staring at it for too long, only seen one at the junkyard and wish i had it in mine, mine is just plain smooth and boring.
