  1. post a picture of your dash so we know what model and what your vehicle is even equipped with, and we might be able to tell you a few things we've attached on ours, i used the blank next to the wipers on the EA82 as my switch for my 4wd since the one on the shifter rattled around when i was on the highway and eventually went out, right bottom blank is for cruise control, left bottom blank is for choke mechanisms for 3rd world countries, left rectangular small blank is for foglights, which i used as offroading lights attached all around the wagon, just use a relay, not sure how well built the oem switches on the inside even are.
  2. perhaps just post a bunch of pictures of them? we should be able to identify most of them, are you planning on selling some of these?
  3. jam a breaker bar between the block and Alternator, and just sort of feel the belt when it's "tight Enough". i used the Dealer Added A/C as my leverage point when tightening the alternator belt.
  4. was that to me? as old as the car is, which is about to hit 40years, i didn't want to bother with just the seals, plus i was unable to extract the 2 phillips screws behind the pump to access the seal, another reason i was glad i got the whole pump instead.
  5. after 7 months of checking almost everyday on ebay, a New Old Stock EA71 oil pump popped up, bought it immediately at a hefty $140, glad i did because when i was removing mine 2 months ago, it broke where the cylindrical piece connects to the pump, and i had to extract the piece that got stuck in the block, i think EA81's are like this... replaced it because the pump leaked a drop every few minutes, nothing catastrophic but i knew i had to find a replacement one eventually. if i was able to find a EA71 New old stock pump, im sure you can find a EA81 pump remanufactured or New old stock.
  6. Moosens couldn't be more correct about the alternator, i''ve gone through 4 alternators, 3 fuel pumps and 2 regulators in a year and a half, it's a good thing they have lifetime warranty, Oreilly's is loving me im telling you. what i would do is diagnose alittle before doing all this at the same time. -try blowing some air through the fuel line from the engine side to the fuel tank, in that direction, then start the vehicle up, if it dies in a few seconds again, -disconnect the fuel line connecting to the fuel pump (which my bet is on the fuel pump) and let it pour into a container of sorts, let if run for as long as the engine lasts for, there should be a steady stream of fuel, not drips every so often, -i doubt it's the regulator, i've had my subaru run at 7.3volts before, starting with a full battery you can pretty much drive the vehicle for a few days as long as you don't have the A/C or radio on or headlights.
  7. either or, i'll let you know if Todd happens to have a set of 4 and a sale does go through, but if i haven't responded or anything, definetly let me know Paul, thanks buddy!
  8. just bought the HVAC knobs from you Todd, incase you were wondering who that may be! you wouldn't have any 70's mudflaps coming up for sale would you?
  9. i'll be honest, back in 2005 i had a myspace, was on it almost everyday, got sick of it after a while, then i found out about facebook and everyone moving to it around 2008-2009, never bothered since i got bored of myspace, me being 23 years old, graduated highschool in 2013, im probably the only one from my highschool that doesn't have a facebook. i don't get the point of it honestly, i also got my first cell phone in 2008, so that might explain why i got bored of myspace and never bothered with facebook. have always liked old stuff, still have my box tv, and never have liked these new cars, might explain some also...
  10. anyone know what happened to Gloyale or Loyale 2.7 Turbo? haven't seen them on here in a while... just curious.
  11. i originally had T8 fluorecent bulbs in my garage but was slowly changing them for LED when they started acting up, unfortunately i discontinued the project due to Lowes and Homedepot discontinuing the Utilitech brand on LED fluorecent T8 replacements, they now carry GE T8's, but the problem is those require electricity from both sides with a ballast even though the ballast doesn't do anything for it but still requires it while the utilitech was wired differently, i gave up on all the nonsense and did this instead. i ended up just getting 12 light sockets and screwed them to the ceiling ($1.19 each) and buying 12 100W (they are actually 13W Each) LED at 5,000K for my 2 Car garage even though it's 3 cars wide, and it's more than enough, project cost me below $60. way cheaper than those LED T8's or T12's tubes plus the assemblies, and replacing them is super easy incase i ever break one or one goes out years from now, i do have to say it's like a studio now with the amount of lighting, no shadows anywhere either, might have gone too far with it though, but after a few minutes of being in the garage i get used to it. hope this helps, took me a while to figure out this simple inexpensive solution, works out great and im extremely happy with it, the hardest thing about this project is the wiring but it's not hard, just time consuming. if you're curious as to how much power this draws... (12) 100w LED bulbs=156w/120v=1.3A
  12. I love it! there's a guy on this forum named Ferces, also lives in Bogota Colombia, drives a 3rd gen though, happy driving! never seen an owners manual in spanish before, thats something new for me.
  13. im okay with Loyale's getting modified and such, but when i see one in that Brown 80's Metallic color in good shape, it gets to me....
  14. oh hey Comatosellama, haven't seen you on here in like 2 years but yeah, just the guts inside are the only thing useful remaining, someone that's rebuilding one and needs the inside parts, gotta ship it so time to tear that thing apart and store it in the attic for a few years till that right person comes along.
  15. is that what the EA81 Bell housing area looks like? only ever seen the EA71 and EA82 setups. it just looks really odd and boxy in my opinion, like it's older than a EA71...
  16. love the wheels! straight body you got there still
  17. i was on 175/60/R13 originally until those tires wore out since i stole them out of a parts car i purchased, now im on 155/85/R13 to help with RPM's on the highway, look like bicycle tires on the road though, but i think 155/60/R13 was the original factory measurement which is hilarious, also where did you source 205/60R13 from? getting hard to find anything R13 tires these days...
  18. as cool as a Loyale looks, i pulled out of the (third Generation) it wasn't worth it for me to be getting parts shipped around for this early 90's vehicle, so i instead went older into the 70's to be worth my time, just the way i looked at the situation. if you do get it, parts is an adventure in itself! but it's a really cool boxy vehicle to drive around
  19. some of the images posted above was because of the glove compartment detaching from the dash outline itself, causing a gap.. it's been fixed now, but thank the cheapness of the glove compartment for this thread. you should have seen some of the old items i found in there not Subaru related, receipts to many places like Kroger (which haven't existed in San Antonio since the late 80's), Albertson's, HandyAndy, Kmart, it was really weird...
  20. quick question GD, are Subaru Cranks Cast or Forged? i've been wondering that for a while, im sure the new ones are Cast, but were any ever Forged?
