1993 Loyale Crank No Start Issues
BirdLoyale93 replied to BirdLoyale93's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Sorry for the incredibly late reply. I ended up taking her in to my mechanic. It ended up being a loose connection inside of the firewall. All is well now. No issues since. -
Okay... I've got my oil pump off my EA82, and have my new O-rings, and the shaft seal... Any advice on removing the front pulley bolt to access the shaft seal? I'm hesitant because I don't want to damage the rotor. Thanks guys!

Thanks Rust! If anyone is in the Oklahoma area... This is worth checking out. Wish I had a space to work on this one. http://tulsa.craigslist.org/cto/5078955661.html -
The Subaru Search and Rescue Thread

This 1993 Loyale was posted on CL... The owner said that it had a blown head gasket. He was taking it to the scrap yard the next day... My friend and I ended up going that night to pay for it. ($350) The storms here in Oklahoma were too intense to go over everything with the car... We ended up jumping it, and taking it around the block 4 times until it slowly started to overheat... My friend and I went back a couple of days later to replace the battery and see what we were up against... To my surprise it was just the lack of coolant in the radiator and a small leak in the lower hose!!! This baby hasn't overheated since, and is running like a champ!!! This is a great thread! Can't wait to see more! -

1993 Loyale Crank No Start Issues

The coil bracket is connected. Changed out my spark plugs last night. Could it be something as simple as the spark plug wires?! -
The other night I drove my (93' Subaru Loyale 5 Speed Manual Wagon 1.8 EA82) for about 2 hours while it was raining out. AC on the entire time. The next day I went to start her up... Nothing It just cranks, and will not start... Here is a list of everything I have tried so far: Battery: good (tried jumping with my other Subie) Alternator: good Starter: good (clicks everytime I turn the ignition key) Spark Test: No spark even after I put a new distributor rotor on... I'm confused about timing... any tips would help. Distributor Rotor: I've put a new one on. I also checked to see if it was spinning when I cranked the motor to make sure it wasn't a timing belt issue. Ignition coil: good (also put a new one on) Still no spark... Distributor Cap: This is what I'll be changing out today... Hoping this gets a spark. If i'm missing anything please help inform me! I'm new to this so forgive me if some of this doesn't make sense. Any tips would help! Thanks!
