well then... i guess teh cute daughter has nothing to worry about except for running out of maple syrup huh? hehehe -
mine ran great in my wagon till i blew the tranny out right now i am sitting in front of my rx on a laptop with wireless about to finish the wiring and have my 85 intercooled rx msnedis'd using my old wagon motor so except for a diffrent shell /better drivetrain <it is a rx after all hehe> the whole setup was running before so its not like i am trying to make it all work from scratch like i did on the wagon plus inever had the wagon intercooled or with a blow off valve as far as the apc goes its great but i will be ditching it soon since i know the guy who has been doing the codeing for the ms-n-edis firm ware i have asked for some special things that will let the ms-n-edis setup also run boost control just like the apc but a little better
-
you rang??? sportin the full on ms and edis 4 setup... not in the wagon now tho hehe
-
my first guess would be maybe the belt on that side is a tooth or 2 off thus killing your cam timing and as a result your compression and drivabilty ect my second guess is someone put the distributor in 180 degrees out exactly opposite from where it should be lined up the motor will still run but run like crap won't it hondasucks... hehe now as far as a miss on a certain cylinder a valve could be hung open or you could have bad rings on the cylinder and low compression or a blow headgasket

a: i was being a tad exagerative b: i forget c: i have some cojones i took a old amc eagle sx/4 that was mildly tweaked over a large mound of rocks and dirt about the size of 2 old vw bugs the obstacle was meant to prevent people from goin up the road .. i on the other hand was coming down the road on my way out of some logging trails that i had gained accsess to by unblocked legal means at the other end it was either idle back thru 3-4 miles of logging roads or try and creep over the road block that interestingly enough put me about .5 miles from my house at the time btw .. short wheel base rocks .. sadly had no low range 4wd :< and 90 hp 151c.i.d inline 4 hmm i have a pic of my old eagle somewhere online ..

oddcomp replied to gotime242's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...

something i found on the net
oddcomp replied to alexb1's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
450 you say???? well then in that case i will see your 6 cans and raise you 2 more but mine will be 2 24 oz beer cans in addition to the 6 12 oz pop cans so i will get the gain from 8 12 oz pop cans and another 24 oz of alcohol injection so i bet i make way more than 450 extra horse all kidding and bad typinf aside. um yeah those things are worth less that what you might actually find in a dumpster -

while i obviously stand behind the standalone setup.. with my stock injectors. a well thought out band-aid setup is better than nothing at all -
but the real question zefy dear boy... is will you have your mom with you to spoil the fun lol
-
i plan on leaving my place or direct from work again realll early int he morning like about 7-8 am ish doubt iw ill be seeing many of you on the freeway that early but who knows
-
um yeah the 5th injector route will usually work to help cover the hole in stock ecu's fuel delivery mapping that being said.. its pretty much a band-aid type thing that does work but one of the downsides of it is 2 much fuel can also make it bog down plus it has a tendancy to wash out that reallly thin layer of oil in th cylinder walls that a helps seal the cylinder to the rings and b helps keep the rings from eating the cylinder walls having just idiotically blathered about that. many people do run 5th injectors just fine with no problems boostedballs, skip and i thinka few others plus its common on other turbo cars as a fix for a fueling hole that the stock ecu/injectors can't compensate for the stock injectors can keep up with the demand since at 10 psi with a megasquirt and edis setup i was actually running rich enough to bog down the motor at 3/4 to wide open throttle wide band is a great idea since you can use it to sort out your 5th injector size so it is not over kill or not enough

ATF in 80w90!?
oddcomp replied to Midwst's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
haha.. my autotragic from the wagon was damnear pure atf in the front diff.. i mean it was red on the dipstick... oddly enough i put thousands of miles on it that way but when i finally killed the tranny there was a smidge.. ok.. 1/8 or more inch of in and out play on the output stubs for the diff... i keep meaning to pull it apart and see just how worn down it is but then again.. it was a 230k mile tranny.. so it actually held up well i would say also not sure about newer sube's but alot of newer transfercases and yes <if i remember right> even a few differentials actually use atf instead of gear oil -
now how did i miss this whole thread on ms n edis??? wow i wonder if i will be the only one at wcss running both at once? hmm also i have the temp correction files to put in the code to use stock suby sensors"thanks shadow" i use a heated o2 for now

Anyone charted performance mods?
oddcomp replied to Todd in Seattle's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
seems i heard dyno time up in pdx is like 80 or 100 bux for 3 runs.. that will be one of my next goals i think so i can get some better adjustments made
