hmm seems i am still the only one in longview,wa that is on here.. this sucks
-
i was under the impression that the speedo was driven off one of the other more internal shafts of the tranny if not the pinion it self... but it is possilbe i am just confused.. if i am not then would it not suggest at least a bunch of teeth have decided to relocate from either the ring gear or the pinion gear .. but he did say clunk and not crunch/grind type noise so i will go on the assumption i am confused and tired

for the record ... that weinie is not on the roof... it is in fact the car

hmm.. just like most people thought you could not put distributorless ignition on a ea82 ... all i can totally suggest is give it a try.. math and numbers regarding how some kind of carbs will or won't work are good things to go by.. but.. somethings do work that should never work.. take a look at mr bumblebee... he should not be able to fly... soo eh if it was me i would try it.. at least you would have proof to tell the next person why it did not work instead of why it should not work -
your missing my useless point here ...

umm yeah i suspect he is addicted to suby punishment... and as far as weather gear... take another look at his screen name... he is used to being all wet behind the ears.. ehhehe -
y not? where is your sense of adventure? its only 3 psi more than i ran all the time with no ic
-
not a big fan of em but they do make those rim shim things... might have to install longer studs to accomodate some of the more deeper rims/spacer setups
-
nice vid... makes me wish i was not running a street only suby ... might change eventually.. but then again i would never have the time to go offorad much i think oh well
-
i think i might have one maybe 2 caps.. got a picture so i can match my cap-s to yours?
-
perhaps if you had the tiem to make some kind of signal interface box to convert the maf output but that would require being able to find some kinda spec sheet for both maf's to figure out how much voltage is produced at x amount of airflow

yeal like northwet it had a 390 on a small truck a sr5 toyota 2wd witht eh 20r motor it worked well considering i could get nice tire chirp at all 5 shifts i would stay away from a 650 on that small of motor and i suspect a propperly jetted 390 with a fairly stiff vacum secondary spring would work fine -
hmm i don't think i would be driving anything with anykind of weinie on the roof....
-
might i suggest you carry water wings on your next adventure? just tie em to the front and back bumpers...

oddcomp replied to Marck's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
well you could also go get a cheap "bottle brush" type of hone witht he small balls on it and and run it in the cylinder a few times .. yes with the piston in it clea the walls very well and then turn the motor over by hand slowly so the rings will scrape teh missed stuff up and deposit it at teh top of the stroke and then rotate far enough to pull the pistons back intot he bottom of the bore wipe clean again and oil -

sweet hmm you think either double 1/10th scale servo's or one hi tourq 1/4 scale servo will be strong enough to control the vanes? -

ok i ran across this long ago when i first daydreamed of the whole vnt on suby thing but i think this would be a ultimate way to control the vnt response and max boost problem is i have no idea how to work with basic stamp microcontroller's so anyone on here into microcontroller's? take a look at what i am talking about http://www.me.psu.edu/me415/fall98/saeboost/index.htm -
