if you get a k-type thermo coupler and run a megasquirt it will log and eventually be able to correct fuel based on 02 and egt feedback -

i think everyone know hows mine is done but in case the last belt thing is turned down for the original escort ring to fit and its attached ..in the end after other attempts.. by 4 sorta even spaced screws the water pump pulley has been modifed i cut the back belt rib off that so it did not tear up the ring teeth and i drove and spot wlded 4 1/8 inch pins into the pulley to lock together the two sections of the stock ea82t pulley <this heavy kind witht he rubber stuff in it> to keep the timing from "slipping" shadows way i don't think will suffer from teh slip problem i had since i think.. his will be attached to the center part of the pulley where as mine is attached to the outer part -

like everything else i would imagine tehre is a do it yourself solution to the expensive digital one lets see.. that saab 9k i had used a encoder type setup to drive the speedo.. no cable soo.. take the encoder <i kept including the dash in fact hmm saab dash in a suby...> build a small circuit <i supect northwet could do that ..> to read the encoder and some sorta display.. just a idea -

actually if you have all teh parts and stuff and since there are a few of us already with the important start up information the downtime now.. is very minimal i meah hell i did it to my daily driver that i drove to work and back i went backwards really since i did the ignition first then injection and working graveyard unlike you normal people .. i have even less time to work with i am still wondering why almost none of the offroaders are not looking into this .. i mean they would have fuel delivery until they tip over and then some really lol not to mention a lot more low rpm response for those rock crawling things paranoid about reliability well build yourself a mpfi intake with a carb on it for throttle body cut fuel to one system add fuel to the otehr and poof an easy way to have efi and incase of problems a way to get home hmm i think 2 much and i am no einstein he was good with numbers.... i am not but i can tie my boots! -

extra addon gearboxes are available for a wide variety of tray/transfer case speedo drive's fnding one that has the correct gearing to compensate would prolly not be hard what might be hard is to adapt the in and out of it for suby btw they are used alot on modified 4wd's such as chevy' and such with large tires my 76 k5 blazer with 44"s had a speedo box in fact -

formyself invested is just alot of time and prolly all total around 300 maybe a bit more but thats at like 10-20 bux at a time for most of it and since i had the hard part of figuring out how to make it all work on the suby as far as gains go .. wel complete and total tunability of your fuel and ignition if you go the ignition route better economy once it is dialed in and your not playing around way more power and response when you are getting busy no more fuel cut from overboost no morepicky air flow meter the fact you can actually see whats going on and be able to potentially catch a problem before it gets bad you can run the biggest baddest vent to atosphere scare people type of blow off valve if you wanted to hehe there are more but eh what do i know -
ah well then.. time for trip to teh junkyard and get a new plug!

my guess its not a short but infact corrosion pull off the connector see any bluish green looking gook on the terminals? get som contact cleaner and a tiny wire brush and clean as much of it off asyou can found out some cheap nail files cut down to narrow strips work well for that kinda stuff oh and wouldn't hurt to unplug the battery before doing it i am pretty certain the tps circuit is dead once the key is off but eh.. easier to unplug battery than to fry the ecu
-
will do btw i love teh blah blah effect
-
well.. look at the bright side. at least you did not go britney spears on us and say .. oops i did it again!

my 87 had the boost solenoid that the ecu conrols lets teh turbo hit a higher psi when you stomp it but only briefly pretty much like a emergency thing in theory so if you gota move and get out of someone's way then you stomp it get higher boost for a few seonds or so than the ecu would normally allow at least thats how those work on other cars that same boost solenoid would work with the boost controll off the ms box if anyone is wondering... prolly work witha apc box as well like i have the second unit <not shown in the pictures tere. thats on my 87 is a vacum pump setup to supply vacum to things like heater controls and cruise control alot of turbo cars have them

Installing an Intercooler for Dummies Questions
oddcomp replied to Myxalplyx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
yeah what wjm said also that large line on the bov needs to vent back into the intake system anywhere between the maf and turbo since the air your venting has already been measured by the computer and calculated <somewhat> to have a matching amount of fuel injected to go with it so venting it betwee the maf and turbo keeps it in the system other wise you can expect some rough running everytime you gear change or let off after boost happens of course if you change over to ms then it doesn' matter you can bolt on one of those nice a loud bov's and vent it to atmosphere and scare teh honduhs away -
jaysus... just looking at it i would think lag would be almost a given with that thing maybe if you can find a smaller turbine housing then it would prolly work very well me myself and i have been plotting thinking and daydreaming of finding a tdi turbo now you may ask .. wtf why vw/audi tdi turbo? first off .. the tdi motor in vw/audi is 1.9 litre secondly that particular turbo is a vnt style turbo for those that have no idea wtf a vnt is its short for variable nozzle turbo/turbine to make it short an super sweet that turbo/vnt have moveable vanes in it and the way it works is when engine vacum is applied to the unit/ vnt version of a wastegate it closes down the vanes and directs all the hot exhaust into the turbo so in theory the engine sees a itty bitty turbo and being as such it will spool super quick .. now the downside fo a itty bitty fast spooling unit is reduced hi rpm breathing.. enter the vnt one again once the vnt reaches what ever psi you set it then opens the vanes until it stays at the peak psi its set for prety much like a common turbo really but witht he vanes open the actual exhaust flow thru the unit is almost unrestricted so itacts like a large turbo on a small motor still makes bad rump roast boost up in the hi rpm/ hi load range but the fact it can " adjust" on the fly to various engine load conditions make it in my opinion far superior so basically you end up with a turbo that can adjust to spool super fast and then as the demand rises it will work like a larger unit and keep the boost going with less of the sideeffects of using a tiny/quick spooling/ hi rpm restrictive turbo versus the oposite wich is a slow to spool but good breathing at hi rpm unit i mean imagine havine a turbo that will offer the boost of the low end grunt that all the older suby turbo's so badly need but still be able to flow as well as those big units and not suffer the setbacks of a large turbo setup oh k done rambling oh wait btw the vnt turbo was originally made by garret for certain turbo dodge applications and that was a 2.2/2.5 motor so.. if a second to original vnt is originally built to run well on a 1.9 vw motor then our modded 1.8's should work like a charm
