my personal opinion i use a saab apc boost controller fo rme its great if i want more boost i turn a small adjustment plus it listens if the motor start to detonate and drops down the boost ... nice if i was not apc enabled i would use my megasquirt boost control option that i have mbc's while nice and cheap... but not what i would consider for a expensive motor. or for that matter even my cheap ea82t motor personall opinion ect ect

i think you mean pre hot wire maf the flapper door type maf you could bypass teh boost switchy thing but eh ... my maf now sits in my garage next to the suby ecu and disty lol -
no holiday for me went to work last night going to work 2 night so its just my usual beer for breakfast and then go to sleep day oh and i am sick 2 so.. double yay

btw people are using methanol injectors for water injection.. actually once you have a pump a regular fuel injector will work.. since they are stainless steel assembly's if i remember right and a simple injector driver circuit can vary the amount injected dependign on boost psi

hmm the injectors are 185 cc... that is nice to know me and shadow guessed at around 180 cc for my ms setup.. thanks eh its only a small bit of change.. -
now this is a bit of interesting reading regardin water/liquid injection in fact the guy uses it to totally replace his intercooler ... http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/turbo/nointercooler.html i have a few.. well alot more interesting tidbits like this if anyone's interested btw new code for the megasquirt will controll water injection based on eitehr intake temps or boost psi <like skips setup but with out the ms box>

ea82t don't like just putzing around

not entirely in his head... higher rpm sprints and freeway driving tend to blow out carbon buildup in the cylinders wich in turns does help -

i have extra injector driver schemtics that are o2 or boost psi based for cheaper d.i.y uses and of course the ms box i use -
35-50 junk yard saab apc setup like me yay!

and i told u if you think your big enough then you can try and cage me now me in a cage is amusing but does not help this fellow with his questions

i mean i was raised in big piney near casper for quite a while sadly no longer local to that area check your pm's
-
well since i run ms on my 87 twagon its pretty dam easy i also have the edis setup basically if i can do it anyone can btw i am from up near casper
-
maybe i am paranoid and depend on electronics to much but do you really want to trust your boost to sumthing as simple and the spring in a pen? eventually it could corrod and sieze up i doubt it but... it could happen it could jam up from contamination oil ect that subie's are known for leaking stuff like that they work fine and all from what i see but eh i am paranoid on somethings
-
ok many can expect this from me i think but megasquirt do it yerself programmable fuel injection roughky 150 ish when its all done distributor less ignition system same as i run combined with the megasquirt for the junkyard parts is an exra 35-45 from a junk yard for the extra parts intercooling ect anyways my useless.000000002 cents

lol yeah either a dead mouse that you an find before he rots or a super duper happy mouse that you can catch as he stares at you with pie sized eye's has to be better than a free range wild rodent lol
-
oh yeah carbon dioxode smells muchbetter than human urine... lol actually no smell but still better for smoking the critter out at least get a bbq/smoker and run the vent off it into the suby so after 8=12 hours of smoking a nice beef or pork roast you suby has that nice smokey smell mm smoked suby yummy

as a temp fix..thay should work maybe works for moles get dry ice about 20-30 lbs of it put it in the car and let it sit thats pure carbon dioxode it will displace all the oxygen in the car most if not all animals will avoid going where they can't breath works great for getting rid of odors .. most of the time no oxygen = no bacteria. usually just stuff i learn at work making dry ice if you live close enough i can get it for free for ya

holy spotted moo moo translation holy cow! i can't even afford to dream of a sti badge let alone the whole car a 7k performance kit wow... granted if i had the money then hell yes i would.. maybe at least waht i could not do myself guess i will stick wit my 600 dolalr turbowagon and d.iy injection and ignition but i am interested in what hp you end u with and how you got that far i may still learn something from it

oddcomp replied to Myxalplyx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
well.. with out intercooling my air intake temps max at 220-ish f at 10 psi.. so if he kept on the boost long enough with out enough cooling surface for the water.. well you can see where i am going -
heh on aim and yahooo for me its oddcomp since calebz is too lazy to read your profile and learn u don't have msn... silly calebz he can verify i am overlycreative i think

junkie forgets the usefullness of being able to add ice to the awic for those "special " occasions hehe and you can use oil cooler/tranny coolers ganged up to cool down the water also the larger the water tank the more time you have before the water temp gets hi enough to be usless as a cooling medium short blasts and and such it should do just fine long hard pulls with out enough cooling for the water itself then it becomes useless i f i had a awic i would add a fan to at least one of teh radiators to help with lowspeed cooling/idle cooling to get the water temps back down faster when it was off boost ect hmm someone needs to write a prooggie for usmb just to decode my typing skills...
