  1. hey i almost topmounted the saab 9k intercooler i have... but the size of the scoop needed to make it work correctly would have been hideous .. and yes the 9k intercooler will fit int he spare tire area... barely glad i won't be using a maf soon
  2. well i do currently have a few lcd screen's dstn i think 11" and 12"00 i think but i alsow just got a fujistu stylistic for a good price a and it has a tft screen!! yaya so iw ill either use it untill i get my full one car pc finished or tear it downfor the screen
  3. lets see... oh wiat ...that woudl be me!!! i have a few lcd's lined up .. that i either have or can afford but i will take a look at what you have thoughtfully suggested might be better thant my idea's thanx
  4. ignition stuff can do that as well when they get warm and start to not produce as much spark as it should go borrow a coil from someone and try it for a day or even maybe the module in the distributor or the ingition amplifier
  5. i did the same thing on my s-10 on the thermostat housing my solution was to drill a 1/8 inch pilot hole down the center of the offending bolt then follow it up with a bit that would allow me to retap the hole to the next size up then drilled the hole in the top part of the thermostat housing to take the bigger bolt and poof it worked but then again there is enough metal to do that trick on a chevy 2.8 i am not sure if you have that option if not try the 1/8 pilot hole as straight as you can and then get a bit that is on-2 sizes smaller than the broken bolt drill out the center and u can sometimes use a small punch to fold the left over bolt into the area you just drilled and take it out that way and usually leave the threads in the metal still fairly good just my .0000000002 cents:) good luck
  6. i got my wife a dodge caravan "turbo" gets good mileage decent power .. can be hopped up fairly easy and is so far pretty darn reliable and since its not a newer vehicle it's fairly cheap to purchase heh i inturn took possesion of the suby in my sig fair trade
  7. i like doing it with the spray on stuff one less chance of it leaking around the water ports
  8. yeah 100 seems a good price btw where is podunk washington?
  9. i may replace mine soon as well i think i went to long before fixing my oil pump gasket and i think i may have damaged the cam since i now have a steady low tick from drivers side
  10. yes there is but i don't have my book in front of me right now
  11. sign me up look at my sig to figure out what years i am looking for
  12. umm when my alts died all the dash idiot lights came on ... replaced teh alts and they went out ... thats why i use a gm alternator now so it may not be anything to worry about but checking things over is also not a bad idea
  13. umm i would venture to guess that all thos nice uncapped vacum lines are your problem even if it is fuelinjected of some form or carbed.... try putting a few golf tee's in the vacum lines .. bet the idle comes down
  14. well thanks i was wondering about the fronts
  15. mazda turbo's uusually have them the 2.2's ? i think not the rotary's also ford probe use the same mazda engine.. so look there saab 9000 turbo's i know use one the 2 i mentioned are of the recirc type so they can be used with maf sensor's pretty much just pop the hood of any turbo car you see and follow the plumbing if you want a fairly decent boost gauge the dodge shadow turbo's have a stand alone boost gauge that mounts in the center of the dashboard right above the radio area. i have the gauge from one works pretty well seems accurate enough for at a glance things if i want accuracy i look at the laptop or incar puter oh look on subaru's... i stumbled across a already made up high flow cat and downpipe from a suby turbo wagon (87 ish) someone took the rest of the exhaust.. but left the downpipe
  16. clean up the block and heads paint them and use it as a mailbox post
  17. the 2 maserati turbo's might be smaller than the stock suby turbo.. but.. that means tehy will be fairly responsive and the combined flow will be far greater than a single.. errr well usually
  18. well i would have been there.. but as usuall one of the guys on dayshift came down with a case of the jack daniels flu <quite a regular thing> for him so not only am i on my 13th day of work with no off time .. not really a big deal.. but i also got to do a nice 12hr shift and got off at 10:00 am .. so that killed it for me for being able to show up sorry and yes my boss knows the guy was just hung over.. same guy has shown up to "safety meetings" not even able to find the page to write his own name... but anyways hope it turned out good .. maybe next time
  19. my wagon still spits sunflower seeds out of the heater vents thankfully no smell
  20. figure out how much you need to drop the voltage and add a resistor to compensate for it might work.. go ask some of the guys on the diy-efi message thing i am sure one of them can give you better info than i can i just copy exsisting circuits i can't make my own lol
  21. hmm don't you people ever do get togethers when i am not working?? i could show up for a few sunday but it would be in the morningish... so i don't know if anyone would even be around then or awake
  22. ok they are really used but since i could afford them i got a hell of a deal rims+ almost new tires still have alot of the casting fuzzies on them traded some green less than 110$ and my 4 old rims and tires took half hour to swap 8 tires around with 1 jack and a jack stand and no power tools and this is what i ended up with w00t sorry did not adjust the picture so its prolly huge oh and the ford in the background is not mine i am just fixing it the turbo dodge caravan the wife is about to leave in is mine however oh and my usuall luck with things got in it to leave and .. thump thump bang bang bang bang bang pulled off the road pulled off the front left tire and oooh lookie some nice excess weld bead is hitting the brake caliper i had a file and was furiously filing down the over sized weld goober on the side of the road all better now strangely they came off a 85 wagon with 1.8 f.i not a turbo ... i would think they would have went bang bang bang on the 85 as well unless turbo's have bigger calipers now even with worn out struts i can hit corners hard and it sticks like glue no "feeling" of slipping alot quieter on the highway also
  23. now for my .00002 cents of input 87 turbo wagon 220k+ miles on what seems the original motor running 10-11 psi boost i run what ever i can afford wich is usually 87 or so octane gas almost no ping except when cold then its occasional under hard throttle oh an no intercooler yer either i also have my timing set back about 1-2 degrees before what the books say and i drive 60+ miles every night to work
  24. welcome... i figured it would not take long for someone to make funny with teh name anyways hope you enjoy being here
  25. you see i live in "longview" so it won't be until i can fund a excursion to seattle or we meet some where halfwayi don't have long distance until after 9:30 pm ish when i get to work i will dig around to see if i can find a calling card i will hopefully soon be going up to seattle eh we will figure something out
