  1. um no this will be out oof the intake
  2. no i mean i have 2 of the correct type of bov that i have no use for if you use the one you where givin get ready for pops and backfires as it dumps all that air out the car runs super rich and pops annd backfires
  3. i run a gm alt wire for wire and have yet to fry anything and often hit past 5500 rpm on a 220k+ mile motor .. err i prolly shouldn't but it all works fine had to weld up my own bracket but its far cheaper if you have the tools and time to do a gm alt than it is to pay for a low amp suby alt that will die again gm units tend to last.... wel dam near for ever the one i am using came off a car that was alst driven in umm i think 93???
  4. hey i got to bov thats are much smaller one is from a saab 9000 and the other a mazda something or other/ ford probe and... they are the recirc kind that are meant to be used with maf sensor style systems like the subaru i will not need them since i will not have a maf soon hell i'll trade ya bolth the mazda/ford one has a bolt on type flange so just drill to holes and tap them for the bolts into that hunk of aluminum subaru uses between the turbo and the throttle body and drill the center hole that goes to the actual valve then get a few fitting from home depot or what ever and put about a half inch barbed fitting in the small plastic can thats on the side of the rubber boot that is between the maf sensor and the turbo run the recirc line off the blow off valve to that fitting and plug tha vacum line somewhere below the throttle body and your all set but thats only if you want it/them :edit: pretty much what hondasucks said
  5. myself.. i would be curious enough to cut into a un-warranteed accel coil and try to figure out where it went bad did the primary coil winding short out? did the secondary one short out? did it loose all of the oil in it.. or was there enough to begin with poor insulation on the coil windings?
  6. check timing.. bad detonation can chew up spark plugs also might be a bit overadvanced for the gas your using.. just a thought
  7. yeah i think i will go c01 if/when i get one.. but then again i can get c02 free i think i got a circuit to do injection/ spray's at certain psi of boost and i can prolly find some that will do it based on i/c temp
  8. hmmm.... so whats going on?? i'll be up for a few hours still and i always check before i go to work at night oh and my home phone is 360-423-7759... i think i don't call home much no ones awake usually and work is ... 503.366.1882 i am there between 10:00 pm and i get off at 6:00 and chances are i will be the one answering the phone
  9. whats sad is when a 1000hp supercharged v8 on methanol has a blower sneeze and shears off the bolts holding the sprocket on thankfully it was not my truck i got a old ea82 cam for a carb motor if ya want it
  10. well if you can get a ride to st helens oregon by 6:30 am thrusday or somewhere close i can pick you up after work and run you up to seattle be a little cheeper than a grey hound i think
  11. i gotta head up to fry's in wilsonville oregon after work in the morning (28th)to get stuff to build someone a computer anyone who wants to show up and bs about stuff feel free i'll be there for a few hours at least oh yeah i will prolly be the only long haired guy there
  12. it was cheap at the time and now its pretty much teh best/most fun car i have had plus with this nifty place its at least semi affordable to keep running
  13. who ever had my wagon before me dropped te front end so its partially lowered does that count? i don't have a current side shot i'll have to fix that
  14. according to my pilfered dodge shadow boost gauge i am at 10-11 psi and have never hit fuel cut yet... but then again in about a week or less that will never be a issue again
  15. hmm i think i will stick with my saab apc boost controller might try the manual on the wife's turbo van tho
  16. i am with hondasucks on this one if i could afford it i would go
  17. timing was mentioned vacum leak weak coil crappy wires rusty cat? umm maybe plugged as well that will kill top end plugged airfilter the fact you are rebuilding the hicrappy i would think maybe its leaning out? i dunno bout the hitachi's don't they have a secondary type thing? maybe its not opening?
  18. ehh what can i say i have a stack of performance books about 4-5 feet high i thought of doing a fuel injected ir setup but since i run turbo... but i think it would be neat to see a homebrew hilborn injection on top of a sube:)
  19. oof any hp systems i work on i dump the peloaded os stuff and go with a fresh install of whatever flavor of windows with a basic windows disc so no hp propaganda runs much faster and stable on a side note for spy ware and such for those of you who have the hp multimedia keyboards... the driver for those can cause problems http://techsupport.emily.net/article-hp.issues.htm http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/parseCurl.do?CURL=%2Fcm%2FQuestionAnswer%2F1%2C%2C0x9412543254bfd611abdb0090277a778c%2C00.html&forumId=2&admit=716493758+1084284641296+28353475 good reason i don't own hp computers
  20. triple gears think gear drive timing setup on a small block chevy in fact.. i think and i may be wrong but i think the hummer uses triple gears??
  21. may not be needed but maybe think about a small passage between the 2 intakes to help balance the intake pulses? it would be different if it was a true independent runner setup but with the suby head desighn its not possible unless of course you did it with mpfi heads.. but then it wouldn't be a ea81 very nice work btw
  22. silly cone hoses they go to and from my saab apc boost controller 10-11psi weeeee and i ahve not even re adjusted it
  23. well i didn't have a spare and i was getting annoyed trying to do the adapter at work and getting interupted and all i had at the time was half inch plate to work with so i did it the easy way
  24. well i was working on a maf adapter for a nice big coen filter but since my maf was screwing up i said screw it and cut off the flange where the air box bolts on and filed it down and put the cone filter on it that way works good maf seems to like it better and seems to be behaving so now i have a nice cone filter and those little screeens on the maf are gone as well seems to help i don't suggest you try this unless you have a spare as a backup
  25. i belive the older non ecu controlled turbo disty's actually use the boost psi to retard the timing so instead of vacum pulling it advanced bost pushes it reatarded <hmm that sounds funny>
