  1. calebz i gots a 87 turbo wagon 3at as well i will take peek later on today to see if i have a swishy bar mine feels realy squishy in the front end and rolls alot but i think that cause of the worn out short struts someone put on there looks like a hotrod wagon almost
  2. is that for "club members only" or any suby person? hey i did work in medford for about 2 days does that count?
  3. fuel filters for fun but i would go with the icing or even vapor lock in the fuel lines or possibly a stuck carby float and your bangin around on stuff under the hood may have loosened it and last but not least maybe a weak fuel pump notice any odd smells ? like to much gas or anything?
  4. almost all cars made are setup up so that high beam runs all by itself same with the low beam there is a few kits out there to make the high beam and low beam filament work at the same time but all the kits basically consists of it a 30 am relay and some premade wiring harness's now for you do-it-yourselfer's want to run the power wire from the high beam into the relay so when you use high beams it activates the relay then you run power from the batter to the pass through terminal of the relay and split it off to the low and highbeam filaments when runnign low beams the relay is off and isolating the high beams so they do not turn on when you turn on the highbeams it clicks over the relay and applies power to both elemants in the headlight now if you can decifer all that then i feel you can do it oh yeah don't forget to ground the other side of the relay field coul <it will be marked on the relay> or else it will not function there are 4 wire and 5 wire relay's either one will work but they go like this B P@G L p- power <your high beam wire> g- well ground b- battery l- lights @- relay coil the lettering is far from correct but it gives you a idea i hope on how to run it
  5. me personally on all the stereo's i installed <lots> i went from the fuse box and found one that said acc <accesorie> <sp i know is wrong> and there should be one marked batt hook up the memory wire <if it has one> to the batt terminal <with a inline fuse> and there should be a power on,turn on, or some other kind of on wire <look in the book for the radio or on the unit itself for a wiring diagram> or even the internet but hook that one up to the acc terminal so the radio comes on when the key is turned halfway or if you like you can run bolth wires to the batt terminal and be able to turn the radio on and off independantly find a nice metal dash piece scuff it up with sandpaper or steel wool and use a self tapping sheet metal screw to run your ground since your replacing the door spkeakers write down what color the wire is that you attache to the left and right + and - terminals and duplicate it on the radio end kinda like <speaker side> L+ green to L+ green white stripe <radio side> R- blue to R- blue white strip so on and so fourth need anymore help i got msn or yahoo don't forget inline fuses
  6. hey go look up "megajolt" on google i thinkthat might be what you want i was considering doing the same thing but just don't the money right now it is cheaper than most of the otehr dis systems and you get most of the stuff rom a junkyard its where i got most of the stuff for otehr people who needed the parts hit me a email if you need help by the way are you handy with a soldering iron?
  7. amc eagles had a viscous coupled setup in the transfer case there was a company that made a small hub you bolted on the front out put of a transfer case inside it was a viscous coupler it was inteded for people who drive on and off road alot so they did not have to keep shifting in and out of 4wd it kept the drive lines from binding try writing a few of the 4wd magazine's to ask about it it would take some adapting but its kinda what your looking for i think
  8. i have a encoder card in my puter if ya want to send me a copy i can mess around with it and transfer it to dvd i may as well use my dvd recorder for something lol
  9. if that originally had a mass airflow setup i forsee problems with your blow off valve setup unless you plan on going with a do it yourself or aftermarket fuel injetion ecu that you can tune other than that good job looks cool i hope it runs as well as it looks
  10. i got anice comfy set of saab 9000 leather seats i plan to adapt to the soob mmm they are heated tooo!!!!
  11. i think each pd should has one highley tuned car with a ex rally driver .. just think how fast pursuits would be over less chance of people /property damage especially when people figure out thats its point less to run in the first place
  12. i don't spose ther are any straglers left ?? in large to x large size
  13. i changed out the seals in the front of the motor on the turbowagon and went for a drive it appears to have much more power now .. maybe i did not have the cam's phased correctly when i did the timming belts i still have to reset the timing just did not get to it yet
  14. i have a tendancy to underestimate how much power i put on a ratchet and break stuff... even with short ratchets but anyways its done just got a few things to do in the morning thanx for the tips
  15. perhaps i am just tired and confused but did you put it in the engine or gas? either one is fine most of us run a mix of mmo and oil all the time in the gas it helps get rid of carbon buildup on the tops of pistons if you dump it straight into the intake while its running it does the same thing but gives you a nice cloud that gets rid of mosquito's as well also great for pissing off the neibhors
  16. coming live from my garager puter i am in the middle of doing cam seals and oil pump seals and can't find my book what do i torque the cam keepers to and the oil pump bolts
  17. the wife had one those with the 2.0 air cooled mpfi motor woo weee a whopping 80 hp <i think> in a 3000 lb van didn't win any races but it held its own on the freeway the 3 speed <or was it 4> made it kinda wind out on the highway a bit hi for my tastes i really wanted to put a 1.8 turbo in it but we got rid of it i thought the side ducts would have been perfect for dual intercoolers run the blow off valve so it vented off somewhere outside and loudly
  18. why does all the cool stuff happen on days err nights i have to work
  19. you are doing 55mph and see what looks to be a parked suby for sale on a side street and backtrack 3 miles to go look
  20. since this new stuff you have to oven cure may i suggest that you make a jig to center the pieces inside the mount then burn all the left over rubber off in a nice fire so its a pure urethane mount i would think a few small pieces of aluminum c-clamped over the open area's would work well for keeping the urethane inside the mount as it cures oh as far as a oven goes just a thought.. go to a second hand store or even a kmart or wahtever mark you have and purchase a cheap toaster oven you can use it also for heating up wheel bearings so they slide over stubborn axle shafts easier ect ect many other uses for a small oven in the garage /end of incoherent rant
  21. if i do make it i will have around a few hundred lbs of dry ice for anyone who wants some for their coolers to help keep things really chilly on what will probably be a hot day and if i can't make it those who will be passing through the longview area can pick some up if they wish hmm i guess i better get busy on finishing my programable fuel injection ecu and maybe install my carputer temporarily so much to do so litte time...
  22. sweet since i have realized what day this is on and how close it actually is i think i will be there yay a suby event i actually have half a chance of getting too!! hey send some of those pm's about attractions to me as well flowmaster
