  1. is there any difference in the exhaust lengthof the mid pipe from a 90 legacy to that of a 95 or newer legacy???
  2. i currently own an 89 gl wagon with the adjustable struts and running 27 inch kumhos, working on a legacy, making it big, goin at least 30's......
  3. its got the 2.5, so look for 2.5 upgrades...... like for the 2.5rs...... its all the same stuff, just in diferent cars....and by the way, i envy you for having that car, i have wanted one since i saw one at the dealer..
  4. check the older section, they rant and rave about the clutch type lsd...... its harder to find but trust me it exists.........i have one in my bedroom........soon to be on my car.......
  5. if your lucky enought, you might be able to find a clutch type lsd from an 80's rx.... the early turbos came with them.... they only came in a 3.7, but is easily changed to that of a 4.11 variety..... only downside is that you have to machine a few parts to run legacy/ impreza axle stubs.... mine ran about $100......
  6. whats the difference between a 2.2 flywheel and that of a 2.5????? i want a lightweight flywheel , but cant find one for a 2.2, only the 2.5 variety.....
  7. you would need everything.. engine ( thats a given ) wiring hasrness, computer, exhaust, tranny, all the usual stuff.....
  8. i would say that if you have the wrx computer, use it.... its just all around better.....
  9. has anyone tried to put an svx motor in a legacy? or any other subaru than the svx? just thought it would make for an awesome 4x4 motor, seing as it has the most power and tourque for the subaru na motors.......
  10. it all depends mainly on what year and model you have.........
  11. well said john, well said..... in a no traction/ low traction situation, i would take wide tires over clearance any day.......
  12. sorry i missed it, had to work, looked like fun though..... maybe next time.....
  13. sounds good...... i'm still contemplating doing it on my legacy, but i still havent decided yet.... could be loads o fun though...
  14. try a nissan 240 tranny, the input shaft is a perfect match from what i hear, and you can remove the bell housing..... so a little modificcation of a cut off subaru one might bolt on without too many problems...... just my .02
  15. you will have to lenghten the mid pipe section by at least 6 inches or so.... im not sure if the down pipe sticks farther out than the stock y pipe does on the na cars...... i tried to fit one and the flanges are different, and the mid section is seriously short........ but should be easy to lengthen..... just my .02
  16. that last pic of the legacy is what i kinda want mine to look like!!!
  17. i just got my scorpion springs, already have soem sturts, lookin to get me some of those tires as well, only mine are going on a legacy instead...... the ride looks pretty sick... what suspension are you running?
  18. well, i finally got my scorpion springs for the legacy, and im still working on a few things here and there, but im hoping to get everything going before then, im hoping to get the 3 inch body lift before too long..... we'll have to see... if the old beast could make it there and back, i'd take it, cause i dont really care about beatin it up too much, but it might just fall apart on the way there......
  19. i was wondering if there is anyone out there that knows if a hood from a 98 outback would fit on a 90 legacy.........
  20. why do you need the fit plate for the tranny? cant you just swap out the bell housing?
  21. what is the tallest strut that subaru makes? im making a big legacy, its a 91, and i was wondering which strut to go with????
  22. if i have my wagon ready to go by then, im down without a problem.... are all the colorado people goin down in one big train?????
  23. im running somewhere in the 300,000 range... not quite sure what the exact number is, since i did about a quarter of that with the big tires on..... 89 d/r wagon
  24. ok, instead of using 80/90 like i know your supposed to in the tranny, i used what we had lying around..... 75/90 synthetic........ is this going to seriously screw my tranny? its a d/r in an 89 wagon.....
