  1. Trying to find some bushing for the shift linkage on my 92 loyale 4wd
  2. I got it running now idk how we managed it but the bushing closest to the trans is now shot the shift linkage hangs a bit and seems like the bushing is completely gone with the amount of play it has it clips the driveshaft in 3rd lucky I have a parts car to work with Ive tried everywhere even the dealership and I can't seem to find any linkage with bushings at least the other one I have is still pretty stiff if anyone knows where to get shift linkage let me know it's a 92 4wd loyale
  3. I ended up using a half of a tank during the trip found out one of the plugs was pretty loose so I'm guessing it was venting gas into the engine bay engine felt pretty weak I'm not surprised didn't know it was running like that as the check engine light does not come on at all
  4. I'm hoping so just looking to make this as simple as possible without having to buy more this car is a lot nicer then my 91 a whole lot less rust came with chains and still has the skid plate the hood came up on me when driving it on the 95 mile journey other then that there wasn't any dents till that happened lol
  5. The 92 has bad head gaskets and just plain leaks all over the place it also knocks and it's not the hlas they make noise but the knocking is coming from the center and sounds like tin cans under load my 91 engine runs great has some leaks but not like the 92 just need to know if the intake will need to stay with the car or if they're the same as far as wires and plugs as I would rather not go and get an intake gasket as I don't have the money to do that till next week
  6. Also I need to put an engine in it will I need to take the air intake off they are both manuals one is a 92 the other is a 92 can I keep the intakes on them or are there enough differences between them that they will need swapped I'm used to ej cars this is my first Ea that needs an engine lol
  7. I already have the codes just trying to find the wires for the check engine light as it does not work
  8. K I bought a 92 loyale to swap my engine into I noticed the check engine light don't come on when you first turn the key I connected the plugs together and got some codes recorded on my phone anyone have any diagrams so I can see what's going on with the engine light hopefully it's just a burnt light but I'm not so sure the previous owner tried installing an after market cruise control and it seems like the person gave up as there's no way to turn it on probably going to remove that as I don't really need it
  9. It's an awesome looking 83 been eyeing it for over a year but i think an eg33 outback sport would be more fun then a an ej22 with dr 5speed considering there's more parts in the yards around me for ej cars trying to find an ea in the yards in South Dakota is dam hard now the fun part is trying to figure out a setup for a highway cruising eg33 was thinking of using my 5mt from my legacy since I have it but was also thinking of getting one newer and probably better shape then my 312k mile 5mt lol
  10. Well I'm probably going to get this outback sport down the road from me but here's the link for the turbo wagon he also has an 84 wagon and lots of parts for 84 an even a cyclops grill from 82 http://sd.craigslist.org/cto/5599219937.html
  11. Also will the wire harness and ecu from a 97 legacy gt ej25 work for an ej22 to swap into the ea81 I ask that because I have my 97 torn down on the farm engine and trans have been pulled due to the coolant mixture wasn't good enough this winter when it got down to -40 didn't notice till the oil light came on so I added oil then watched the temp drop all the way to cold by then the light came back on just didn't want to deal with it at that moment lol
  12. I'm going to be picking up an 83 wagon turbo for 400 in a few weeks it looks to be in pretty good shape body wise no noticeable rust it turns over owner said it ran good when he parked it 3 years ago I was thinking of doing an ej swap I also will have a 91 loyale this weekend that needs timing belts done is there a difference between an ea81 to ej swap and the turbo version
