1981 Brat GL, rear reservoir but not front of the master cylinder completely drains out. Master cylinder says F (assume Front brakes) under the rear reservoir and R under the front reservoir (assume rear brakes), Mechanic in December said Rear wheel cylinders were leaking and should be replaced (they put on new pads and flushed brake fluid from entire system) Ideas? Maybe flushing caused the master to leak? I have spare NOS Master cylinder plus front caliper rebuild kits and new rear wheel cylinder. What to try first? Also recently welded some rusty bits (maybe a brake line got damaged during the welding but did use welding blankets to cover nearby areas). Any suggestions welcome as right now not driveable.

I have a spare master cylinder (13/16 bore) that was in my parts bin along with rotors for an 80-83 Subaru car (not Brat). Neither fits my 1981 Brat (the 81 needs a 3/4 bore which I just got on eBay-there is one still available) Calipers are non-existent and rotors nearly so. I think I got the last Centric set that popped up on eBay earlier this year. Haven’t tried fitting it yet as my master cylinder rear reservoir keeps draining and need to figure out why. The rotors for the 80-83 car did not fit my 1981 hub when I had new pads put on last December so I had to reinstall the old rotors which are well worn past the safety limit. If you are interested in either or both parts, I would like to get them to someone who can use them.

POR 15 is done. -
Does anyone know what color the blue is? Would model paint or spray paint work best? Mine has absolutely no color left and want to restore it.

Yes it was still there gone now -
Going to use POR 15 (degreaser, metal etching, POR 15) then prime and paint. Any other tips?

Mine has 13mm bolts where it mounts under the fender and a 23 or 24mm bolt on the bottom of the fender
