  1. Lol, yes, this much computer talk is a bit much. Anyway.. anything to keep you legal(looking) Looks like it does the job. Just don't draw attention to your self on the road (like I do.) Oh, and that is a pretty good camo job, but what if you walk away from your car?
  2. I am pretty sure on this, but not 100% 79 to 84 Wagons 80 to 89 Hatches 81 to 87 Brats 81 to 84 Coupes (not sure if you got those over there) 79 to 8? Sedans Justy's are completely different, so are the 85 and onwards Wagons, Sedans and Coupes
  3. Check out these links. First one is Search resualts on this site, hope they show up for you. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/search.php?searchid=301114 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=59934&highlight=EA82t http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57559&highlight=EA82t http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50838&highlight=EA82t http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=39100&highlight=EA82t http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35656&highlight=EA82t And there are plenty more links in the search resaults if that isn't what your after. Also, are you sure its a EA82 in your Brat? They came with EA81's.
  4. Show off :-p haha.. Nah, I see it's camo, I see it's green.. But didn't GD refer to the flairs as should be bright green? EDIT: I could buy a whole Subie for the price of a 20" Dell! :-p
  5. You on LCD or CRT? Old CRT's seem to always go off color. Most of the time you just get used to it. If a LCD is off color thats how it came. The paint on his car looks greyish with a touch of green.. the flairs look muddy black. I use a LCD btw. But that look good, match your rig's look perfectly.. But now you can't get your car as muddy!
  6. How is it broken? Just clicking? Front or rear? If its a front axle I would drive it in 4WD all the time and be careful. And also get it fixed ASAP. But you can still use the car. Or did the DOJ cup tear open?
  7. Well My dad's 85 carbed touring wagon redlines at 6.5 My mates 88 carbed touring wagon redlines at 6.5 And our 87 carbed sports wagon redlines at 6.5.. So I guess they were just to lazy to put the other dash's in. Oh, and we never got SPFI, but we did get MPFI and turbos. Dunno what they redline at. I will have to get a clip of my dualie reving for you. I'l get three clips, inside, under the hood and at the rear
  8. I see what your saying, but I would only do it for the "Offroad" ability it would give me. See, having torque at 1500RPM would be SWEET in a lifted (badly geared) subaru. I don't think I would do it to my car though. But doing it to a rock crawling buggy would be fun. Maybe use a nissan T-case, with some sort of gearbox, soild axles, and a small diesel engine? And your english is fine mate, if anything I have more trouble understanding Aussies (in the real, and on the internet!) It would be nice if the whole world got nice clean diesel like Europe does.
  9. EA82's (at least here in Aus) have there red line at 6.5K rpm... And I take my dad's to it at least once everytime I drive it... Good o stretch it's legs, ya know?
  10. Haven't seen ya around here much Austin. But good to see that your still getting the time to wheel! What sort of tires are they? "Winter" Re-treads?
  11. Any lower then 110 and I think you will be wanting a rebuild/new engine.. A freshly rebuilt EA81 (near sea level) gets about 140. And EA82's only run a little less compression (I think) so 130 should be nice.
  12. It is, and that's why I assume the EA81 diesel was a failure. There is one or two places in Australia that make stroker kits for EJ engines, but not EA's... too old I think. My original dual carb ea81 (higher flow heads) revs freely upto 7500rpm, I think it will go higher but it starts to make a "different" noise at about 7K.. By different I mean not tapping, rattling, or clacking. But it just makes a different noise that I am not happy about. But really shifting at 7K is pretty good with the 15" wheels I have at the moment. That way it doesn't drop below 4K in the next gear... And the power curve seems to level out after 4K. But it is very loud at 7K, which can be fun sometimes. (seems these engines sound like V8's people get blown away when you rev that high! )
  13. With a lift kit? They are about twice as complicated, but still pretty easy to lift by the looks of it.
  14. I love my kumho M/T's... Very hard compound makes for slow wearing. And they grip pretty good. Although unless your in low range they aare pretty annoying on the street...
  15. Any idea how I can quite down a bearing noise in a Liberty/Legacy gearbox? It's a 1990 model. It makes the noise while driving or in nutral with the clutch out. So when you put the clutch in the noise stops. I assume it is a bearing holding the imput side gear shaft. Would good oil help? Or is it a tear down/replace job ? It is a dual range box (seems I am from Aus) so maybe it also might be a bearing on the dual range shaft? It does it in both hi and lo. Any help would be appritiated. Thank you.
  16. I saw some on Ebay, 31" I think... Wanted like $1200 for all four or something stupid like that. I'll stick with me nice kumhos!
  17. I've seen the TRP Brumby in a video (in Autobarn) driving on a country (looking) road. I also have a video of it on a dyno getting 495hp.But I think they are both cool. I just wouldn't do that hinda thing to a ute, :-\ EDIT!:: I love the dash in that thing... I want to do mine like that hehe
  18. It's cool. But because it aint made or powered by Lambo, you can't call it a lambo. You may still call it a Diablo though. Just my opinion. (I'm a lambo fan, btw... No, not a radiator fan)
  19. what it needs is another piece just like that with some bars going down holding it just below that one. I think that will make it look "beefy'er" Nice welding BTW
  20. Subaru at heart.... But better running gear. lol
  21. They won't have to watch out.... The amount of light will simply just evaporate all their blood, and seems that's like 80% of them, they will fit right under the bumper and rear diff!
  22. I have seen some retreads here in Aus that are 185/85R13's... So I guess thats about as big as it gets. You'd have no problems fitting those. Best bet is for some Pug's (peugeot wheels) or do a 6 stud conversion (or drill your rims, though I don't like that idea.) Then you can have 14" or 15" wheels and a wide selection of tires. Do you plan on a lift kit (body lift) or just jack the suspension up and put some decent tires on it? You should be able to fit 25.5" tires to your 88 without lift or body mods. Use http://www.autisticcuckoo.net/tools/units/tyres.php to figure out what sizes that will be.
