  1. We put a snorkle on a mates 88 wagon.. Used 2" fence post steel cut and weled together with a LEgacy airbox. But you can get similar resualts with PVC down pipe.
  2. Any external EFI pump should be good. The EJ has it's own regulator. Just make sure the pump can to over 40psi, which I think it would be hard to find one that can't.. I just used a EA82 EFI pump from the wrecker. I have 3 more as spare and it was still cheaper then a new one.
  3. My red line is at 5.5k on the tacho in my Brat(coupe dash.) I'm wanting to build my EA81dc for 10K RPM like the air craft ones. That should sounds sweet.
  4. In my EA81dc it made a weird noise above 7K. But I'm pretty sure that was not an alarm but the crappy flow of the air through the whole intake with the silly stock air box.. Sounded really nice at 8K RPM. My EJ22 hits it at 6.5K But still sounds great up there.
  5. Sounds like you know every sane mod you should do to an EA81.. I'd think somewhere around 100hp? If shes got good compression that is.
  6. What would I experience if a filter or pipe was blocked with a OBD1 engine thus dropping the fuel pressure? Any codes? Just loss of power? And can I get a fuel pressure gauge that can tell me if somethings wrong? How much are these normally? Thanks
  7. Yeah, theres been lots of talk about this in the offtopic forum. It was actually sold on ebay not so long ago.. Us aussies are quite a few episodes behind the US..
  8. After 365 days and over 1000 posts I could not change that title. I then donated and found I could. I donate every year on the anniversary of my joining date. Be here more, post more. only time can fix new
  9. Even with 1000+ posts you can't change that title under your name unless you donate
  10. I just found a patch of rust on my Brat that I didn't know was there. It's about 30mm long and 20mm wide right near the exhaust.. That is the worst rust my car has on it It's sad to see so many good cars rust away like yours.. glad your keepin him going.
  11. I'm redesigning my intake piping on my EJ converted Brat and just want to know are both the rocker cover vents required as well as the crank case vent? I would of thought just 2 vents would be enough? Any thoughts?
  12. Bloody oath.. I've never seen anyone bother to fix something that bad.. Looks good and should hold up well if it looks anything like it does in the pics.
  13. Two good links form USRM http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49952 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=54203
  14. I just youtube it.. I like the water line in the first photo.. hehe
  15. Yeah, that sounds like the Armoural product.. I've stuck the rear sticker on with a very thin coating of RTV silicone. And it looks like it's working well Still gotta do something about that trim, I'll just keep a look out for some of the stuff yous have been taliking about (since Australia gets many different stuff as well.)
  16. Thought I might elaborate a little more.. I was born in the mid 80's so I really didn't have to live with all those 80's fashions and cars.. Now I find "new" 90's and up cars look crap. I like classics (not really old, just good 'ol classic designs. Like the Dodge Charger. I don't like the design of it persay, but I like it's image, what it says just fitting there.. I like many other types of cars, and hate many as well. And they are not all just from the 80's. My favorites (cos I'm a lambo fan) are ones like the Diablo, and the Miura. I also like the 90's WRX (after the bug eye one I lost interest.) I like the Triumph TR4, 5 and 6. But not so much the 7.. And then theres cars I like for whats under them, not what they look like. But I won't go there. Anyway, what I'm kinda saying is "new" cars just ain't my cup of tea..
  17. Yes, I dig... I didn't think that far along the line, the blade design does do a lot. And some of these fans look pretty funky. I like my aircon fans
  18. Yes, I have to admit I've been keeping a lot of it's 80's theme.. I kinda like the 80's car look (well some 80's cars were really bad, but you know what I mean.) I haven't thought much on modenising it.. I'll have to do some paint shopping and see what I can come up with.. I am pretty sure I'm going to paint the spokes on the wheels black, although this just enhances the 80's theme, as those wheels are very 60-70's... You've got me thinking, but I still think I'm just going to stick with the styling of it's era, I just can't help it.
  19. Yeah, those SS's look pretty good. And they are at least as wide as they say (kumho's are only 7.75" wide:()
  20. Personally, I like wide tires. But I have seen some road legal (in Aus anyhow) tractor tires mounted to 14" subie rims that looked pretty narly
  21. Ok... I must of been sniffing those petrol fumes too much.. They don't appear to exist.. Maybe it was Bridgestone. Nope, not them.. Maybe it was an A/T I was thinking about..
  22. Some motors don't like running backwards, but you can always give it ago and see if they last. Just wire the black on to the red and the red on to the black and it should run backwards (blow towards the open part instead of the bracket.)
