  1. I might try that out as I'm thinking about a small forum on my offroadingsubarus.com site...
  2. If/When you use http://www.imageshack.us it comes up with a list of URL's you can copy that work with different types of forums. I found it very easy to use for posting pictures to forums. But now I just FTP them to my web hosting and link from there. That way they stay for years to come. I hate searching through old posts finding all this text and no pictures..
  3. I work with computers and HTML a fair bit.. And I still don't understand what the hell goes on in that code.. ahaha
  4. Mmmm... http://lh3.google.com/image/pmilne/RT_nQBmHABI/AAAAAAAAABI/pDgXcsYFRqw/IMAG0007.JPG?imgmax=912 That's odd. It will only work with the "?imgmax=912" on the end.. Ohwell. You need to do this I thinks "right click on the image, then click properties, then "Address (URL)" select all of the http://....image.jpg name and then right click, copy, then use the little image button and then right click, paste..."
  5. Your linking to this URL http://picasaweb.google.com/pmilne/Misc/photo#5063453507192944242 That won't work.. Your URL needs to end with the file name. As in it should have either .JPG or .GIF at the end of the URL. http://lh5.google.com/image/pmilne/RkUAIzDw9nI/AAAAAAAAAH4/k3_kvqyGxPs/ZZ24C079C0.jpg That is the correct URL to use to post that image.
  6. Like this: ?? That's from my website in my gallery http://offroadingsubarus.com/gallery7.html
  7. What are you trying to do? Show an image?? Why would using your photo gallery be cheating.. It's not like it's a competition is it? Oh, and with the attachment thing (not sure if you require a certain number of posts or not to use it) you can only put up 50kb or less sized images Looks shiny. I do like red Subarus
  8. I think you might be trying to use the address http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=15532&cat=500&ppuser=21896 Where instead you want to right click the image the hit copy image location. Then when posting use the little yellow picture with the mountains and the sun and then right click and paste the address which has to end with .jpg or .gif... Understand? Oh, sorry.. Copy image location only is in FireFox. In IE6 you need to right click on the image, then click properties, then "Address (URL)" select all of the http://....image.jpg name and then right click, copy, then use the little image button and then right click, paste... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/All_light_s_on.jpg Or: Or just paste the URL of the image into the text and it will come up as a link.. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/All_light_s_on.jpg Or to make it easier for yourself, put it in your photo gallery and then just tell people to look there...
  9. This is linked out of my photo gallery. And heres an attachment..
  10. Welcome! By the way, it seems if you don't have pictures to post in every post on this forum you will get hassled for pics.. I think we're addicted to pics. So post them up so solve our craving.
  11. I reckon some 25", or maybe 25.5"? Although it does matter what rims your rollin on as the offset changes everything.. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Use that to figure out what size you can go with the inches OD I said. And remember, only go to 215mm wide on a 5.5" rim.
  12. After a long drive in the thing I think I have two shudder problems. 1, the bad one, happens when I'm using the clutch. So either warped flywheel, or crapped out clutch seems to be the problem. Second problem seems to be just rough running. It idles rough, seems ok up high in the RPM though. I got a new set of plugs I'll put in this arvo.. And I'll just check the leads wit hthe multimeter... I don't feel like spending $$$ on new Subaru leads on a hunch. I'll see if I can 'borrow' a mates knock sensor, he has a 90model EJ22, so it should be the same..
  13. Even where we get snow here I doubt it's enough to salt the roads. I haven't heard of salting going on here. Although it's a 2800km drive to the snowies from where I live.. Just last year though, for the first time that we know of, we had ice on the wind screens and on our house roof.. So maybe with all this globle warming stuff it might start snowing here, eheh.. I heard somewhere that there was a cemical that can be used instead of salt these days that doesn't rust your car..
  14. I'm pretty sure they are the same. I know what you mean about the wiring.. Even once I got into it I still stalled a fare bit. But I got it done after a few hours. I think it took 4 hours with both me and my bro to strip it down. And then about an hour and a half for me to find I connected an earth to the igntion positive... hehe
  15. I'll add my useless bit of info.. This car is not for me.. It makes me go :-\ But I do like the XT's front end, just maybe not a rear end like that...
  16. Tom, that is awesome. I don't think any of the 260 odd SVX's we got in Aus had MT's. Must be an awesome ride.
  17. I don't want to extend the off topic, but I feel I have to explain myself on the tire size talk. I run Kumho venture M/T's, those 26.3" ones.. I have a D/R box with 1.59 to 1 low. I also have a EJ22. Bad part is I'm on 3.7 diffs. But, heres the thing. I totally HATE my gearing. It's WAY to high for most 'hard' trails here in South Australia. Now I know South Australia isn't hard, and dosn't have hard, but... Put it this way. When you wheel with a auto land cruiser with a 2.something to 1 low and a torque converter, and a hilux 3L turbo diesel with a 2.5 to 1 low and all that diesel torque. It really makes it stupid driving up rocky slops bouncing around killing my car. Granted that nither the hilux or cruiser got up that hill and I did, it was still stupid to think how much damage my car was taking because of no gearing. And all this on 26.3" tires.. I wouldn't bother with anything but sand with more then 28"OD. But hey, that's just me and I felt I had to explain myself. Not directed at Mysterious, but at the general tire talk.. I could get used to typing these disclaimers, hehe..
  18. That's just harsh... I am now kinda glad that I don't get snow here.. But I still want to do some snow driving one day...
  19. While we're offtopic... This thread tells me: What's in your squad. A squad is kinda like a team in my mind. And a bunch of my cars wouldn't be a team. A bunch of mates would. So A pic of your mates cars plus one of your own = a squad in my mind. And you have to remember, the past is the past, now is now.. Post pictures of your car you drive now, not the last 15years of history... He showed us his car, and two of his mates cars. So this futher points out that it's not about "all my cars, have a look." But about all the guys and their cars you wheel with. Maybe take comments a little less personally? The Brat looks cool, but I have to agree with Rootinater, unless you have some good gearing, those tires are just a problem. Sorry for going off topic, but everyone else seemed to and I wanted some of the action.. AWAY
  20. I talked to GD about getting a SPFI setup to Australia and he said that it's just a tiny bit unreliable for it really. As in the AFM and TPS and that could go wrong and then you would have to source them from the US or what ever. He said just setup custom megasquirt or something as it would be better. If I were you, I'd get a weber or an EJ.
  21. Buy a small, auto, other branded car? :-p
  22. Fine at any speed if the RPM is above 8-900.. I'm going to town today, so I'll be able to grab some plugs and check out leads. Do only Subaru leads have that weird water proof head? Or do other manufacturers do it too?
