Check this out, just remembered about it and went searching google for it again. Here it is

Hahaha...

Thank you. I forgot to put a radiator in the hood, but other then that, it's kinda what I would like to build. Apart from my idea about putting this on top of this chassis.

What do you think about this? It would be sitting on 30" Mud Terrains. With a 6" lift and a T-case mod. I'm going to start looking for old rusty (cheap) Brats now.

Holy Rusted Soobie, Batman!!!

Clutch Alignment Tool... who has one?

My brother... It's his eye. Works first time everytime. -
I think we should have a big notice up somewhere (when you join maybe?) that says "Please do not add to old posts unless entirely necessary..." Think about it though, your the one tellin them to use the search all the time. They wouldn't find these old threads if they didn't :-p

Only 4? lol.. I've got one, my brothers got one, my parents have one. Theres 3 wrecks down the driveway, and I'm still looking for more I can see where shes coming from though.

I know I'm in Australia, but... I have a EA81 manifold with the same bolt pattern as the EA82 carbs. I am pretty sure my dual carb manifold has the bigger bolt pattern too. I also have a manifold and carb off an 83 and it has the smaller size. I was thinking maybe it was a after 84 thing. Like after 84 they went to simiular carbs as the EA82s?

rebuilding the ditch witch - part 2

I agree with you on this one. I like saying what I've done with the car. Guess I'm just a bit of a show off, haha. Looks great so far. You'll barely see any of that when the glass is in and the plastics are back on. I like it when old Subarus get brought back to life -
Exact reason I do everything my self (apart from getting the wheels balanced.) It's amazing how far you can go on something people would freak out at if you reversed out the driveway...

I have had this problem with 3 of my 4 studs on my EA81. I messed around with cheap options. But I think the best bet is to get it helicoiled properly. I know have a helicoil kit, but if you don't want to pay the price for one, I suggest getting someone (mechanic) how has one to do it. You shouldn't need to remove the engine if you put it over a pit or on a lift. One thing I must say (this is why it went so horribly wrong for me) do not drill any deeper then the holes are already.. It's like 4mm before you get to oil passagers, then you are stuffed, like I was. But yeah, first pull the manifold (Y pipe) away and check the studs, you never know what might be wrong till you look at it better.
-
Not sure. But just to let you know, the EA82 box is about 18cm shorter then the EA81 box.
-
Hmm.. That wouldn't be nice.
-
kinda wouldn't want a CAI on that car... Imagine how well a intercooler would work at aeroplane speeds... And of cause, cam chains FTW
-
That's kinda what the article said in the first post.. I never knew this either. Personally I think autos are rubbish, but that's just me.
-
hahaha, weird how that happens sometimes. Don't fear, it's a very rare occurrence.. Good to hear another old subie running again
-
Nope, too long by about 2" or so. I always just go buy axles at the wreckers. They seem to last long enough.
-
Wasn't it Captain Barbossa that said that? Then Elizabeth Swann quoted him later on... Lol, sorry. I just liked those movies...
-
...?? interesting, I have never seen these. As far as I knew us aussies only get the coupes via imports. We have heaps of lifted sedans though, if thats what you mean.

I seem to remember the regulator on old gens are external, What year did the nissan alt come off of? If it is 80s or newer Id say it would have a built in reg. So if you haven't removed the reg from the car you may get a lower voltage, but nothing dangerous.
