  1. Yes once the retainer clip is off, the bulb pulls out. It might be hard at first because the rubber seal might be sticky. My 1998 Legacy has crappy lights, I replaced the bulbs with some from www.midnightmoose.com I went with some higher wattage ones. No burned harness yet, and it was an improvement. The beam pattern still sucks though and I want to put some driving lights on as well.
  2. 2002 WRX uses the 5x100 bolt pattern and the go right on. Just did it two weeks ago on a 1998 Legacy Wagon. The wonderful thing is that ebay and forum classified like at NASIOC are full of stock WRX wheels AND tires with very low miles from people that immediately swap for something better. A lot of people say the stock RE-92 tires suck, but for many of us putting them on Legacies, etc they are a HUGE step up. I got the ebay deal of my life $200 + $100 shipping for a set of 2002 WRX wheels and tires with a few thousand miles on them. Hope that helps.
  3. KYB makes replacement struts for Subarus. The GR-2 is what is usually spec'ed. The KYB-AGX is adjustable and they say they are only for the impreza but some say they will work with other Subarus. Tire-rack has good prices and ships very fast. There is a guy at the rs25.com forums in the vendor classified section that had a better price than Tire-rack. I think you are looking at 2hrs labor to install each side. You might want to consider putting new springs in when you do the strut replacement. I am replacing with Whiteline Control springs. I am also replacing the strut mounts as well. 238K is amazing. Many people say that a stock suspension lasts around 60-90k.
  4. WRX seats drop right in. You will be left with one extra bolt for each side. Keep in mind that the WRX seats sit several inches taller (but driver's side has a height adjustment). They are much more comfortable than my old 1998 Legacy seats. Look cool too. 2002-2003 are the same, 2004 and newer are different. You will need to transfer over the seat belt slip because the WRX buckle is different than older styles. Do yourself a huge favor and buy them from a vehicle that has NOT been wrecked. The seatbelt strain can bend the slider rails. I had a nightmare time with mine because of this. Ebay has good prices, but shipping can be high. they are much heavier than older seats, because there is more bolstering. You will have unmatched seats, but you can also find rear WRX seats too. Remember that the WRX sedan seats are not split like the wagon seats, and they are supposed to fit pretty well, but they will be slightly higher in the back. I am going to order some seat covers from Attention to Detail which will make my seats match again. hope that helps.
  5. Yakima makes towers/clips for the Suby. My 1998 Legacy uses the Qtowers with the Q44 clips. You can get everything at ebay. A set of 4 Qtowers usually goes for between $60-80. www.agees.com is a great online source for new parts. Join their free membership and get 20% off list price. I just got a new set of Qtowers from them that arrived next day for $100. For everything else, cross bars, bike mounts, ebay is best bet.
