  1. its a 1993 Loyale 4 wheel drive wagon. it seems to be running fine so far. it has more power. however I might try to find a decent caty at the scrap yard to replace the one i just gutted. it seems to me like it was designed to have an O2 sensor for a reason. so even though there are no noticeable problems from removing it, i just don't feel great about it.
  2. I recently gutted the catalytic converter on my Loyale through the hole where the O2 sensor threads into caty, and then welded the hole shut. I'm wondering Will this cause any problems with the computer on my Suby?
  3. My 1993 Loyale won't start. It seems to be getting spark. when I turn the key to auxiliary I can't hear the fuel pump working. I even disconnected the fuel line from the fuel filter to see if it was pumping gas and there was no pressure. is there any way to know for sure if the fuel pump is bad before I buy one for 200$
  4. i replaced the front wheel bearing on my 1993 loyale. a few months later the driver side went bad again... im not sure why but someone said to me that it might be because i tightened the axle nut without a torque wrench and could have over tightened. i was hoping someone out there could tell me the proper torque to use for when i put some new bearing in, and any other tips would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Looks like my dad's 2008 legacy sedan needs new head gaskets! Dose anyone have shops they would recommend in spokane wa?
  6. Well I pulled off the distributer cap for the second time for another look and it turns out that the set screw had completely fallen out! So even though it was spinning it was spinning freely and preventing the car from starting! Problem solved! !! And also I found a working solenoid at pull and save and the engine ruins better than ever! Thank you soooo much everyone!
  7. Thanks DaveT I'll check out that link when you post it. Would this solenoid being broken keep my loyale from starting?
  8. Thanks DaveT. What year and modle Toyota would have a erg selonoid that would work for this loyale ?
  9. Naru I'll try that. Also I realized I had a couple plugs connected that are not supposed to be. One is green and the other white they are located by the windsheild wiper motor, it sounds like one is for setting the timing and the other for ecu codes.I hope that having them plugged in didn't mess up my car.
  10. It dose turn over Dee2. And I took it down to the timing belts and made sure one cam was at 12 the other at 6 and the flywheel at top dead center. So the timing is all good. When it died I had my music really loud so it's hard to say what the engine sounded like but it did sputter for a second before it died.
  11. My 1993 loyale died on the freeway and won't star up again it's getting spark and gas but so won't start if anyone has advice it would be greatly appreciated.
  12. so my 1993 loyale died on the freeway and i had to have towed to my parents house, amd have been trying to figure out the issue... it is getting fuel, the battery is good, its getting spark, i checked the timing belts and still it wont start. i did notice a small part located directly behind the thermostat that has a small tube going in to it that was broken. i took it to the auto part store and they could not seem to find out what it is. i also called a couple subaru mechanics and they could not tell me what it was either. if anyone can help me figure out what the part is or some other advice on what might be going on with my suby it would be so much help! i will post a picture of the part.
