  1. I'll get right to it.I have a 1998 Subaru outback with a Std Trans and a bad motor.I can get a 2001 subaru motor with the auto trans.I realize all the stuff that needs to be switched ...I want to keep the car standard Trans. Does anyone know if the pilot bushing is in the flywheel or the end of the crankshaft? Can these be switched by using all the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate from the eng I am removing from the 98 and will they interchnge? any help will be appreciated...These are new to me I am a mechanice so before I dive in to this I want a better idea what I am doing.I was told the eng are easy to switch in these? any tips on that? Thank You Ron
