I did not realise thoes could be blead.... so that should fix the little not normal brake fluid flow to the brake system then? I'll check it out, thanks:D -

mc, hh? I'm unfimular with thoes abriviations. -
I've got a strage problem Austin and I incountered while getting my brakes blead. 2 of the wheels, the passenger side front wheel, and the drivers side rear wheel blead correctly or as expected, the passenger side rear wheel, and the driver's side front wheel however were very difficult to bleed. And aparently theres a small brake fluid leak in the system someware, I'm wondering if the bleeding symptoms are normal, or not. I'm gonna crawl under the car here when I get a chance to look for that brake fluid leak, but if anyone has any knowledge on how they're suposed to bleed, or why they don't bleed correctly, it's much apreciated, thanks everyone.

Overheating when headlights are on.

that sounds interesting, if I ever get an a/c car, I'm modifying the secondary so the headlights have no effect on it's function:brow: -

ea81's only have one fan, just so ya know, unless they're equipped with a/c, then they'll have 2 fans, and I believe one of them will be permentally on. -
Where is my anti-freeze going?

maybe it's the front hose that goes into the water pump? it could be leaking and as it hits the hot engine it evaporates.... or runs down to the exhaust.... and evaporates from there.... Theres also little water lines on the front of the intake manofold that ocasionally blow, from what I've herd, maybe thoes, then again I'm unfimilar with ea82's design, especially fuel injected, but thats what I'd look for. I know I had a heater core hose develope a slow leak and it was evaporating causing alot of smoke only when the engine was warm cause it'd run down the side of the engine and hit the exhaust... I hope any of that info helps:) -

he he he, I like my blue brat, it just needs new paint, cause someone spray painted the body with the topper even still on it, they got paint all over the rubber linning on the topper. But the orginal color is blue as well, obviously sense the bed wasn't painted with the body... cause the toper was on. Anyway I think the color code is something like 246, but it's the bright blue, whats it called? Cosmic Blue? Anyway I can't wait til I can afford to get the body all streightened out and repainted. -

fun, I can still make it for an hour or so, anyone else still going? -
yeah I'm going to replace them all with universal by the foot hose here after I get my paycheck today. the bypass hoses however look pretty good, and relativily new. So I'll worrie about them when they die. But I'm gonna take a look at the hose damage, the hose looks really old anyway, but I'm gonna see if I can be temporarly cheap and let the hose blow big time in a day lol:brow: I need somethin to get me to work tonight so I need a temp fix.

So I hear that aside from cv axels going out, heater core hoses commonly go too? The upper hose on my brat started a slow leak on me right at the base where its attached to the metal pipe on the back of the intake manofold. I'm gonna chop off the dead part and stick the hose back on so the part that leaks is illimanated for now sense the hose has some slack. Hopefully it'll hold for now until I can afford some new hoses.

yeah, it's right on the front of alki beach, along the main road there, hard to miss. -
the common problem I've seen with ea81 subarus, is the front cv joints seem to always be bad, or go bad. But thats about the only thing, other than that, they seem pretty relaible.

EA81 Hitachi Air/Fuel Adjust?
Mr. Carb replied to Ma-fia's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the idle is on the throttle system. it's a long screw with a spring around it, on the right side if yer looking at it from the front of the car. if you know where the throttle cable is hooked up, you'll find the screw pretty quickly. -

It passed-ed emissions...!
Mr. Carb replied to Mr. Carb's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I was having fun with the pass and the ed at the end.... makeing out like I can't talk kinda thing. passeded, something like that. it doesn't have to do with your name at all. I was just bored with the subject so I made it look odd. -
My brat passed emissions today, so now it's got tabs, and it's all leagle and ready to drive. taillights need new water seals though, revers light sockets are rusted out almost. it's pretty awsome... moter has more umph than my old chrysler had, wich is really sad.
