  1. similar yes, the nissan 720 truck I have the housing "look" similar but its actually larger then the subaru housing, also it has bolt up flanges at the diff heres a R180 heres a R160( Subaru size)next to a R200 heres a good article http://www.ratdat.com/technical/R200_swap/R200_swap.html what we do is just weld up the spider gears and your locked
  2. on the leg trans is that much work to get to it to weld??
  3. heres a car i spent 2 weeks on and had a blast with it Its the best EA82 Ive driven offroad, the most money was for the tires, and winch of course, something like this could be road legal, this is only a 2" lift
  4. that pics from your folder, If your like most of us you have all these great Ideas and little money or time to see them through, Ive found the newer cars have stronger axles, If you go stock the EA81 has greater torque at low speeds then the EA82, weights a big killer drop all you can and dont add alot with heavy bumpers, rack etc. the EJ engine is definatly the way to go if you can swing the cash, go with the style you like as your going to drop alot of time and $$ into this project, I wouldnt make a Offroader into a Daily driver, they are both different animals, I take that back if alls you have is some all-terrain tires and a small lift,
  5. disty mt module ideal good stuff, now if a parts car is a good risk getting the complete system is preferable , cut the wire so you get the plugs get disty with all the wires with sparkplug wires and the coil wire coil and plugs and wires on the coil and coil mt. that way I would have everything I need and wont have to peice together things thanks Scott
  6. still need a disty just a update on the EJ carb Adapter, have cast one, making pattern improvements and this will be a bolt on Item using the coil pack threaded bosses
  7. OK lets see pictures of lifted Legacy wagons, not just struts but 4" + lifts for offroad use, I just got a 92 wagon and should lift it, I was thinking 4" , the only one I found was AAs original legacy they lifted, so whats ya got ???
  8. made a few changes on the site, now offering both steel and Alloy 4" lift for EA81, heres a pic of the steel one I am located in Bellingham Washington
  9. right, this wont hapen till I build up a sample bumper
  10. I work at a fiberglass bathtub company and am in charge of building molds if you need any assistance
  11. pull the front axle but leave the outer shaft and you will have a 2wd rear wheel drive
  12. Just got a 92 Legacy Wagon, plan on lifting it 4" , just wondering what it would interchange with once I got the lift done,
  13. there seems to be so many extra Subarus showing up around the place I was thinking maybe making furniture out of them, anyone have any thoughts or examples of them of other wacky car modifications, I remember seeing a old Corvair made into a salad bar Scott
  14. Love that buggy , its a highly modified EA82 Subaru
  15. Looking at a 97 Impreza sport, it needs a tranny its a 5 speed manual, my question is what tranny is that? I have a 5 speed out of a 90 legacy will that work? of different ratios?? Scott
  16. so from this thread looks like 3 people interested , that would pay $200 for a front bumper, I can do 1-1/2" tubing right now double tube, I personally want to do 2" which would require a new set of dies, Im thinking $200 wouldnt be worth it,
