  1. take a spare hub punch out 2 aposing studs , bolt up to your rim, use a transfer punch , punch it then drill the holes to fit over studs, enjoy
  2. when you go wheelin go with similar equipt vehicles and drivers , your group will only travel as quick as the weakest , least prepared
  3. Im running 27 x 15 SSR Swampers great tires , only complaint is the rubber seems soft and the tread seems to scar and I have a few chunks missing already not sure if the bias ply ones run harder rubber, If I bought a new set think I would look at the Kuhmos
  4. that looks like a promissing place we are headed down to Sandlake on the coast for july 4th week, its just below tillimook
  5. Happy 1000 to you the car is way wayyyy better with the weight removed, , and no tail out back , just mounted up a Ramsey 8,000 winch on front, and welded the diff, went up a spot I couldnt make befor with the open diff, this car will never be road legal, would like to build one similar thats road legal
  6. I have a set of 390s and these are the markings on them 150 TR 390 FHH20 they are 4 sale
  7. ready to hit this again got the car ( Blue Bomber) picking up a nissan disty , if I could do it without swapin distys i would prefer that,
  8. hows your progress on this keep us updated thanks
  9. put some 27 or smaller street treds on there for the road trip, should be easy to find a set , right now I now 25" street tires on my white car, lots better on the road, doesnt look as cool
  10. Heres a little fun we had last wed evening
  11. looks like you could drive a stock Hatch under there
  12. did you say progress!   building more trails , welding up my diff tonight , we can do more if you like one, anyone need one bring it by tonight and we will weld them all up, then go out and try to brake things:brow: :brow:
  13. If you could somehow slip a lockable touque converter between the stock soobie engine and a Dual/Range I think you would have something, years ago I built a buggy out of datsun 2wd truck running gear, its a automatic and I love it, it goes almost anywhere with 33" rear tires
  14. your "IN" , next is to become "IT"
  15. shops open come on over, we can go wheelin in the woods
  16. heres a ea81 with no lift, cranked the torsion bar in back , the tires are 215/75-15 , sawsalled a bit
  17. Im really liking it with the roof still on, Its probably going to stay, need to saw off some more stuff , put a few bars on the back and sides , It really goes good with the extra weight removed and no rear hangin out , got used to a welded diff on the white car, already got stuck a few times without it in this car, I think thats next ,and lift the rear a few , maybe tonight
  18. I noticed this is in the " Older Generation of Soobs"
  19. whatever you got , go out and have fun with it , my present road car( white EA82) has 3-1/2" lift at the frontstruts, I have kept the front radius rod mounts up in the stock place and modified the radius rods, I have dropped the engine cross member 2" and the tranny mount 1-1/2" , so on the front theres a extra 3-1/2" at the body and a extra 1-1/2" extra at the y pipe over stock, at the rear the only thing dropped is the diff 2" at front and 3" at rear with the shocks lifted 4" , so all that plus whats gained by tire size lets me go places I never could go with the all stock set up, throw in a welded diff and some mud tires and it makes for a great trail rig:brow: enjoy:cool:
  20. nice job, wheres the air intake end up and airfilter?
