  1. in my 'Ultimate Offroader Project' I am considering running a second transmision out of a Ranger/BroncoII complete with transfercase this would give me a 2.74 tranfer ratio, 3.77 first gear ratio in the bronco trans with a final crawl ratio of 220 to do this I will need to convert the front of the Bronco trans from a splined clutch shaft to a yoke with a u-joint , if this is doable it should work awesome behind the Turbo EA82 220CR is ten times slower then stock 22CR
  2. would you go with that tire size again? I really like your Hatch, looked at it many times is that a 8" lift?
  3. which axle usually breaks? and what kind of increased angle over stock are you running front and rear
  4. I would like to see some offroad compition of some type, ( not to far from home) something we can take our vehicles to the limit against other soobie nuts ( I really enjoyed last years show, good job guys) the highlight was going offroad with others , also met a few nice guys from my area and have built a relation with them , sorry I missed the AA jump:)
  5. I would run the 2 x 3 tubing alongside the drop down mounts as to keep the frame tubing one continuous peice, instead of multiple peices which joints have a acces hole in them, in that way the frame would be a stand alone structure and not count on the body for strength, show us Pics as you go along this is interesting Scott
  6. I am in the process of designing a EA82 with added transfercase for lower gears, the question comes up which tire and size should I run? at first I thought 31 or 32 maybe the Super Swamper TSL 32 / 9.5 x 15 , what are you guys running on your transfercase rigs? I have heard the rear stubs out of the diff like to break , what else is a week link?
  7. James I like those Bumpers, I could test them for you !, Scott
  8. I am currently running a 6" lift on my 88 GL , up front its all 6 inch body lift, sus stays the same except I mounted the trans at 4-3/4 , in the rear I dropped the sus cross tube and diff 5 " and the shocks 6" , so in the front its same as stock, in rear I added 1" to the clearance, . SJR
  9. thats good to know therea few of us going out there mid january
  10. just a thought does this airplane redrive reverse the direction , or keep it normal ?
  11. I could help with the machine work
  12. Ive been looking at some of the redrives mostly the belt type , I think it has potentual, one drawback is its one gear not a hi or low
  13. Adam if you need any help ( machine work, welding etc. CAD drawing ) I will volunter myself and equiptment Scott
  14. you are correct,. that said if someone wanted the rear axle moved back I could fab up a custom lift with your specs: of lift, increased axle angle and axle placement also you can choose which componants you want on your lift which will give different results, say you want high clearance , then you would want to keep the rear cross tube and diff up high which would resolt in the swing arm swinging down causing a clearance issue at front of tire, now if want to keep everything at stock geometry the you would lower every part equally , this will keep the wheels centered .also it may be possible to put a spacer between the u-joint flange and driveline to prevent having a custom driveline built
  15. heres a few I have had no faliure to date , pictured is the compopnants for a 6" lift , the 3-1/2" lift has less parts
  16. 85 hatch junk 85 ea82 wagon chopped up for pattern making 88 wagon lifted runs 91 loyale cooked engine 88 turbo wagon runs , may become the ultimate offroader 87 ea82 wagon stock daily driver 90 Lagacy wagon fires , working on this one 7 total 3 run 4 dead 2 others at my place but they are not mine
  17. the spare 15 rim is made of thinner material , also it has no bead ridge that helps lock the tire onto the rim
  18. good luck, your not the first guy who thought this would be a great idea, , you would only need one with a locker, what most guys do is remove a axle for street driving, takes a few minutes and 2 roll pin removale
  19. maybe it could be a Creepie Crawler
