  1. EA82 fly has a smaller diameter starter ring gear and thats what you need with the older DR case
  2. /\ /\ /\ like that excpt you will need a 4x4 EA82 flywheel redrilled I did it on my car
  3. all bolts are 1.25 thread 30mm long works which is finer them most common metrics 8mm at the front strut 10mm at the engine crossmember, rear crosstube 12mm at all the big bolts and rear shock and diff
  4. looks like all the damage is up front, thats good, its about a 3 x 2 tube there you could just fix it ,I would go 2x4 on all your lift blocks go 5" at the engine and 6" at the struts and shocks and 5" at the diff , see ya monday for the flywheel ,
  5. New diff drop for the 8 and 9" lifts, I think its cool looks like a royal crown, Heres the EJ 6" lift check out the front engine block, going with a new design

  7. heres a EA82 with a 9" one I wheeled back in 2007, so with the 9" T-case kit , your own 2nd rear diff for the front some tube steel , a transfercase and some drivelines you can make a large lited rig with low gears and good clearence under the engine http://www.sjrlift.com/images/stories/DSC06283.jpg
  8. got the CAD work done on the EA82 8" lift and the 9" lift , now taking orders for EA82 8" EA82 9" EA82 9" with front Diff mount for the guys that want to go with a 2nd transfercase like a Nissan 720 or others still havent tried out the tubing bender , been sitting in front the puter doin CAD work

  11. I just slipped some 1/4" rod in there on the gap side and tightened down the nut, never a issue and the round ones are prone to break
  12. Sand is fun, at the salt water watch out as your car will rust away stay away from the salt water , power is your friend, get as much as you can , just dont sit and spin heres some old pics from 05 at sand lake OR Heres a buggy I made at Moses LK WA its powered by a Suzuki Swift
  13. cleanin out the garage heres some one offs or misbent or discontinued stuff EA82 front bumper bracket set 2 sets available $60 for a set , 3" hole fits 2-1/2" pipe, and 1-1/4" top pipe EJ rear strut extensions 2" needs welded fits gen 1 and 2 legacy and others $30 a complete set ( 4 parts , you weld ) 3" EA82 front strut extensions just the bottom half $10 each 3" EA82 front strut extensions complete set $65 a complete set 4" EA82 front strut extension backwards SJR , and unbent plates $10 each 6" EA82 rear shock plate , just bent to far wrong angle, could be bent back and used $30 for the set check out this folder
  14. Jeff i like your excitement Ill evem jump in if someone needs a EJ adapter plate for your offroder Ill sell it 1/2 price with the kicker you must go out on 2 runs with us with said part mounted in your car

I use a older version of Autocad LT I used it these last few days designing the new lift kit for the 2000-2004 , its really handy , before that I used a few free CAD programs, AutoCAd is by far superior, get a CAD program that allows for multiple layers and colors, I run a black background ane use white lines on layer 0, a cheep yellow plastic adjustable angle maker is helpful also a cheep caliper and a good tape measure

Tubing bender showed up still havent set it up got my first EJ harness trimmed down, had some good help from a local: Adam at NW Ralley Sport hes agreat guy and specializes in Subarus only Here it is 98 Leg Wag 5 sp Been workin on the 00 6" lift heres the process first I chop up a good car bring a section in the shop flip it over and unbolt the suspension here a prototype card stock block I design the parts on CAD than try them out on the car before I have them lazer cut and bent
  18. you will need the engine y pipe , and complete intake and air filter if your good at modding I would cram that legacy radiater and fans in your car, thats what I did

I have a 98 Legacy wagon 5 speed wiring harness Im in the process of thinning it out for a EJ2.2 swap into a EA car, I have the 98 Impreza RS Servicve manual and wanted to know if the pinouts and engine wiring would be the same or if not where could I get the correct wiring diagrams and pinouts for this harness :-p:Flame: also anything I should be aware of as this is my first , I have chux write up and also have a EJ in one of my EA cars but I didnt wire it

I have a gallery at my store www.sjrlift.com and am looking for some more pictures to show what a lifted Subaru looks like if you would like your pic on my site post it here and I may use it, heres a list of what I need EA81 with 2" lift EA82 with a 4" lift early gen1 legacy like a 90+ 3 or 4" lift gen2 legacy with a 3 or 4" 2000+ with any lift my Big 5 bolt VW pattern with wheels ( these are rare ) any custom bumper pics welcome as Im looking at introducing a line of bumpers, A-bars and brushguards if you have other pics you may think I would be interested in please share
