Red Sedan Build , solid rear axle
Scott in Bellingham replied to Scott in Bellingham's topic in Members Rides
that about says it all, Ive built many machines over the years Ive wheeled Subaru for the last 5 years , I know what they will do , I know what breaks and what doesnt, we wheel at Walker Valley and this new machine is built to tackle the trails and obsticles of that ORV park, I still have a yard full of Subaru based wheelers and I really like my white "5 Door" wheeler , this new machine some day will be pushed into the pile along with the others and I will move on to build somethng new to me , it may not be a " Subaru" but for the record I dont really care :-\ -

Outback tire to strut clearance advice wanted
Scott in Bellingham replied to daredevil1166's topic in Off Road
I set up a car once thought I had plenty of space drove the car into town looks under and part of the tire was wore off just in one spot, got looking closing and found out I had a bent rim , which gave it good clerence half way round then rubbed in one spot , I put a few washers behind the rim and drove it home, those tires were 235/75-15s on stock steel wheels -

tell us about this research, got any pics ? -
for sure "Does a lift add any ground clearance or is it just to allow for the fitment of larger tires?" yes under the body, and my kits give a extra 1" under the suspension plus your tire difference
