  1. looks like a fun rig , would do better in the sand dunes , I really think thats the key with these subarus , remove all the weight you can

Jeff I got the starts of the race car I was talking about its a 81 Dodge 2WD with a 2.6 4 banger this will be our first dirt track racer, pull the bed and cab off and add a roadster type body and move the engine to mid frame look like a old T track roadster so we need to start on that race track !!!!:banana::banana:

  5. so a EA82, get the SPFI with a Dual range 87 or 88 , no Auto or no push button 4wd .for off road you want that dual range

  8. correct I now send out the crossmember 1" block as on some installations the axles rub , you have my first 2" lift I sent out so it does not have the 1" engine crossmeber spacer , the picture at my store needs updated
  9. Rollies correct on the long bolts they are for the engine crossmember, I have heard that the stock outback steering shaft will work on a 2" lift but not sure, the black bars are fpr the enginge crossmember and the for bolts with the silver couplers are for the mustache bar drops it down 1"
  10. drove the wheeler to work its all ready looks like rain
  11. the control arm bends near the bolt mount , you can usually just unbend it , but they do start to crack at that point , Ive never hurt the crossmember its a Ea82
  12. its from ramming the front tire into rocks, roots trees other imovable items
  13. seems like I cant keep these straight heres a few Ive bent so I shoved the bar threw a 1 x 1-1/2" rectangular tube and welded the ended we ll see how this works will test this saturday at walker what have you guys done and how do you prevent such bending ?? .
  14. on a dual range transaxle you can run it in fwd low range just need to remove the short linkage from the front of the trans to the rear thats the hi/ low then just leave it in low or make 2 seperate linkages

  16. install struts off a outback gives 2" lift and room for bigger tires
  17. got lookin at my car , the front right radius rod is bent so off it comes maybe I should make a stronger one for this weekend, that seems to be the weak spot for me, always the right side
  18. correct, the stock bolts are welded in need broke out

OK looking at this picture the top row is the mustache bar blocks and longer bolts for that the next row is the rear shock extensions ,yes rotate the tops 180, the 4 long bolts and the 1" long pipes drop the diff , and then of course the front strut extensions , this is the first version , the new one comes with a front engine crossmember 1" block as Ive found on some not all installs the axles rub, Scott
