  3. bent the front right a-arm at walker, I hit a tree with the tire, I was trying to get a run at a spot but was too far to the right, I seem to hit that side the most, Ive never had issues with the left side of my cars its alwys been on the right
  4. I dont mind , I am looking forward to having that Dual range and locker tho, maybe you guys can come by some evening and we can make the swap , I would like to take it next mo with the swap, SJR
  5. that would be nice Rob Jeff I watched all you Vids thanks guy for putting them up SJR
  6. FWD Impreza will slip right on a EA regular dualrange forgot what year,
  7. side by side comparison for offroad Legacy lacks low gear and is AWD so when one tires off the ground you have no power to the ground, I had to get a big run at things that in my EA82 wagon with the EJ and locked rear I could have just Iddled up, I love the car, ounce I swap out the Tranny with a Dual range, Adapter plate, Redrilled fly , Impreza FWD axles and a modified driveshaft this will be my new Wheeler, it has a 4" lift on it and 27" tires , if your not doing any off camber hillclimbs the stock AWD trans would be fine, SJR
  8. Thanks Jeff good times, and thanks Eric for going with us, I think I now have a new weeler , I really liked the car , Just need to plop in dual range and a locked rear and I think it will be good to go the toyota landcruser showed up at the right time to pull me up that muddy hill SJR

  11. Eric you may want a raccoon tail on the cb antenna
  12. it would turn the ring gear to the other side amd your car would go in reverse when in a forward gear
  13. awesome is this your new car or old
  14. How often do you change your mind? Constatly .. Brian you can do it !!!! I would make a list of all your options then go down the list and choose pro or com, then also look at what you want in a end vehicle and see what fits. also look at your list of parts you already have I have done both made a sand/woods buggy from the ground up and also modified trucks and cars , the ground up will take longer and if you dont have all the bits it may cost more too, if you want to license it and insure it stick with a body that already has a title, also have you ever rode in a rock crawler?? if not find one and take a ride see if thats really what you want, if you stick with Subaru axles keep the weight down and the tire size down, any 4x4 import pickup will have stronger axles then a subie, also we live in washington, myself I prefer a heated cab, if you make a ground up buggy you will need a trailer, or have it inspected a Mini crawler would be awesome, like the guy said decide what you want and build that, and if you can find someone selling the " thing" you want you will be money and time ahead to buy it already built, so do you want a project or do you want to drive the buggy ???
  15. Been there Done that, looks like I missed out
