  1. SOLUTION: I had a problem with my 2002 Subaru Outback after I replaced the front left headlight assembly because it was foggy. After changing the headlight assembly I noticed my foglight stopped working on the left side. After that I unplugged the headlight and replugged it back in, the foglight worked again, good. BUT... the tail lights and license plate lights didn't work now, which I didn't know until someone told me at night driving home. OK, so I take it to a mechanic. It turned out to be the Headlight I bought had bad light bulb sockets with short circuits in them. Boom, replaced the sockets that came with the headlight assembly the bulbs were fine, everything works now. License plate, parking lights, parking light switch, day lights. It was just the bad light sockets on the head light. I payed $100 bucks to the mechanic. No worries, it's something you can do yourself at home. If it's not your headlights, try the sockets to other lights.
