  1. Here is a picture of the exact wheels I have. 14x6 but I cant quite remember the offset measurements. When I purchased them it stated that they came off a brumby in Australia so that makes a lot of sense. They've been a pain in the rump roast to find and I've only had my set of 4. I would love to have another 1 or 2 to replace my cracked wheel and have a full size spare. I also included a picture of my nasty cracked wheel for reference. I honestly dunno how it even happened. Maybe a pot hole on my work commute?
  2. Wow this is awesome. I really appreciate old websites like that, where all the links still work!
  3. Little update. Sadly the only reason I wanted to seek out a set of wheels was because one of my 14x6 scorpion style wheels got a crack. I didn't feel safe driving on it after inspection and to get back on the road asap buying a used set of wheels/tires from someone seemed like the quickest fix to get my car back on the road. I would like to use the nicer wheels I have as you guys stated I'm able to run bigger and nicer tires/more selection. I have some 27.5 grabber all terrains and don't personally enjoy the look of the little 13 inch pizza cutter wheels/tires. The brat wheels/tires were $200 and the tires are basically new still. I had to grind my caliper the slightest bit in order to fit the larger 14x6 wheels only up front about 1/8th of an inch down. I imagine I could do the same thing and grind a bit more but that doesn't seem smart or safe imo. Granted I don't think a spacer is much better but I feel like its my best option. Spacers still on the way. I got a set coming just for the front. The rears clear no problem. Fronts just need a tiny bit more clearance. My wheel that cracked is steel and I plan on meeting up with a buddy who is much more mechanically inclinded that myself. He said he is willing to try to grind and weld the crack. Who knows if the wheel will ever be balanced again after. Thank you guys again for all the information/help!
  4. Hey y'all. I just recently purchased some new to me wheels/tires from a gentleman on fb marketplace. He claims they are oem brat wheels and they seem to be. I drive a 91 loyale for reference. My issue is that they seem to be hitting my front brake calipers and I was under the impression that they should bolt up and work no issues. I ended up purchasing some wheel spacers to hopefully remedy the issue and was hoping for some advice and opinions. Should the spacers I ordered fit and bolt right up no issues? Will it remedy my problem? Is there a better fix I should be aiming towards? Thanks for all the help. The information and group of fine individuals on this forum has helped me out tremendously learning about these vehicles. Please let me know if you need more info. Here are the specs. 4x140 Wheel Spacer Thickness: 3/4" Lug Nuts: : 12x1.25 Studs : : 12x1.25 -TD
  5. Thanks all! 100% ended up being grease from the cv boot. I couldnt notice any cracks but did a deeper dive and thats for sure the culprit. Gonna dive into it later this week. Thanks for the quick follow up and help again everyone. The subaru car community is the best.
  6. Hey guys. During my drive home yesterday I noticed some smoke coming from under the hood. Looks like something is spitting oil/grease all over my exhaust and axle on the passenger side of my engine. I took some pictures. I cant seem to figure out where its coming from. The engine doesn't appear to be low on oil at all. The valve cover gasket doesn't appear to be leaking. The engine is pretty dry and clean everywhere aside from that big mess. Any help is appreciated. Thank you all
  7. To bump an old thread back from the dead. I believe I'm having similar issues and I'm looking at replacing my fuel pump as well. 91 Loyale. Should I just try and source a 1990 f150 fuel pump new and be able to install that no issues? I appreciate all the info and help.
  8. Sadly no the'yre both there. I did run outside to look as soon as I saw your post.
  9. Greetings everyone, I'm in a bit of a conundrum after doing some work on ol reliable. Vehicle: 91 Subaru Loyale Here's the breakdown: we pulled the motor for a clutch replacement and while we were at it, we also replaced the front axles, outer tie rods, distributor cap/rotor, spark plugs/wires, and both drive belts. It was quite the undertaking, but we managed to get everything back together – or so we thought. As we were wrapping up the job, I noticed there's one bolt left over, and it's been bugging me ever since. We meticulously accounted for every bolt and nut during disassembly and made sure to keep track of everything. I used plastic bags and labeled with sharpie what bolts went to. However, despite our efforts, this one bolt seems to have slipped through the cracks. I've gone over the areas we worked on multiple times, inspected the engine bay, and crawled under the car, but no luck. It's like playing automotive detective, trying to figure out where this bolt belongs. Given the extensive nature of the work we did, I'm a bit concerned that this bolt might be crucial to the operation or integrity of some component. It's not the kind of thing I want to leave to chance. So, fellow enthusiasts and seasoned mechanics, I'm reaching out to tap into your collective wisdom. Have you ever encountered a similar situation after performing major repairs or replacements? How did you go about tracking down the origin of leftover bolts? I'm open to any suggestions or insights you might have. It's a head-scratcher for sure, and any help in solving this mystery would be greatly appreciated. I'll throw in a pic of the bolt. I'm hoping someone with much more experience than myself can chime in! The bolt is 14mm if that helps at all. Thanks in advance for your assistance! https://tinypic.host/image/IMG-2867.D2uiIR
  10. Hey yall! I just wanted to take some time to do a proper introduction and say hi! I'm new to this forum in particular, but I am also a member on NASIOC, so I'm not new to Subaru in general. Lets get down to it! My girlfriend just picked up a new car. It was after a long search we finally found what she wanted. She was after a wagon or small SUV of some sort and it had to have 4wd of course. I stated above that I'm not new to Subaru's as I have a bugeye wagon that is my daily, so as you could guess I'm already a little biased you could say After a few different test drives and meetings we found a 91 Loyale wagon on craigslist this past fall that looked very clean in the pictures that were provided so we wanted to check it out more. I ended up setting up a meeting to test drive the car and check it out. The car was also being sold private party by owner and he was very kind and willing to let me check the vehicle out from top to bottom extensively. It ended up having minor flaws based on the age and relatively low miles based on the fact that it is a 25 year old car! So I test drove it... It sucked. The clutch was basically gone and it had a wicked power steering squeak that couldn't help but turn heads with every turn of the steering wheel. Nothing that couldn't be fixed so I drove the car to have a pre purchase inspection done by a reputable Subaru mechanic. They came back with good news and said everything looks to be mechanically sound other than the problems the owner already had mentioned to me being the clutch and the power steering. We ended up buying it and driving it home that day. I took the time to replace and fix all the issues with a friend and she couldn't be happier with her new vehicle. The interior is the best part is super clean! We replaced the clutch, flywheel, power steering pump and belts and a complete tune up. The car drives fantastic and everything works great. It's white with blue interior which is where the name came from and why my girlfriend and all of us have since been calling it the blue pearl! Here is a couple quick pics. Can't wait to keep you guys updated along our adventure! Cheers!
