  1. So I have some xt6 backing plates, my plan was for a 5 lug but for now I have paused that. So I have a second set of rear disc stuff minus backing plates (where the xt6 plates come into play), I plan on giving to Alex. Well I went to throw the xt6 plates on my car so he can have my standard ones but I just learned the 5lug xt6 runs a 10inch rotor not the 8.8 or whatever that the turbo gl runs. So my question is can we get 10 inch rotors to fit the hub for a 4x140 gl/loyale?
  2. You can see where this one hit other linkage turns out you can't see it while it's on the car and I must have missed it before but it's got 2 kinks in it. Also I put my single range one in and it works fine??? I thought all the linkage had to be dual range?
  3. So I put the single range shifter in because I want the button for my light bar, it actually shifts into gear fine now which is strange. But you can definitely see something is crooked. It is angled towards the driver side as if the whole linkage assembly is turned or bent but it doesn't look bent wrong. You can see in the second picture how turned the shift knob is when it's correctly on the shifter (holes line up for the pin)

  5. I think I have the same style issue, like my gears are crooked. From 1st to 2nd is most obvious you don't go straight down you go down diagonally to the right and since I put the s/r shifter on you csn physically see its pointed the wrong way (since the s/r shifter only goes on 2 ways via held in place by the pin I can't bypass the issue and put it straight) is this the kinda thing you mean? Although mine never goes back it's always done this
  6. Went to a riverbed near yuba city with some buddies this weekend
  7. So I have to take the arm off, get the special nut off, and press the stub out?
  8. Hey guys, so I've done both my fronts, super easy. The rears on the other hand I can't quite figure out how to do. I don't want to just jump into it without a decent idea of what to do and what can go wrong. From what I can find you use a punch to get the special nut inside the back off that there is a tool for but don't need. Other than that I can't find anything. I blame photo bucket because I found what looks like a beautiful instruction set but it's all got the stupid not a paid user crap so I can't see pictures. Anyways if anyone else has pictures or advice would be nice. My driver side rear bearings has been going out ever since I had to hammer my original axle off months ago, shifts and noisy when slow.
  9. Made it to the junkyard, my lazy rump roast didn't get the shift linkage, but I got a new door handle and lock since my lock has been broken since I bought the car and was super hard to unlock. Also got the factory front dome lights, a spare dash clock, and the female plug end for the fog lights, which the switch is acting as my fan switch until I swap it with my rounds or turn my markers into turn signals and remove the turn signal for yellow fogs.
  10. Lol I'm headed to the junkyard now I'll grab the spare set just incase and I'll check for adjustments when I get home.
  11. You're both beautiful, ferp you can upload them in the reply itself without photo bucket I'm interested in this
  12. So I did the dual range swap months ago in my 93 loyale. Forever with this trans has second gear been slightly to the right when you shift. As of yesterday I finally put the entire console in instead of just screwing the cover to my tunnel. Now every upward gear, 1-3-5, don't feel like they are going in full, like they're hitting the console. I'm not sure if my shift linkage is bent or what but 5th especially will pop my shift cover off and you have to make sure it's in gear or it will just pop out. Is this normal or is something bent or what? I'm going back to the junkyard tomorrow anyways so I'm going to get an entire set of shift linkage just incase from the same car I got the console.
  13. Made it to the junkyard today, plan was to get a leggy steering knuckle, outback spacers, and pull this dual range out there. But heat was too much for me so I just got the center console since I never got the full thing. Hopefully I'll get up early enough tomorrow to score that spare dual range!
  14. If you 100% can't find one local I will pull one from a junkyard here, they're 60$ I believe and then whatever shipping is. You pay for it and to get it to you I'll go pull it! I hate seeing old subies get crushed. Gimme a color and I'll see what I can find
  15. Forgot I also did the rear disc conversion along with new front brakes and rotors and new driver side caliper. Also obviously new axles all around
  16. So it's been a long time since I have posted any update pictures of my car. My last build thread was months ago like when I finally got the car on the street and then the photo bucket thing came in and now that's ruined. Last few weeks usmb hasn't let any of my pictures upload so I gave up, but it seems as though now I can post some so here's a run down on what I've done so far. 1993 Subaru loyale Wagon Picked up the car for $500, working ac, smashed back passenger window, cruise didn't work, alternator was 100% dead, check engine light but decently maintained and semi straight body with only a couple dents. Drove the car home with dead alternator and took 2 batteries to get it home, replaced the alternator, got a maf and temp sensor and it passed smog. So that's what I started with and as it sits current build list is: Engine - fel pro gasket resealed EA82, new valve seals, and full valve job, new timing belts, maxima 90amp alternator conversion, new water pump, no thermostat for the summer, new radiator, flushed and cleaned cooling system, new spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, mechanical water temp fitted, mechanical fan swapped for high cfm electric fan run next to the stock fan via switch, optima yellowtop battery, and new accessory belts, custom exhaust tube snorkel, also have an air compressor mounted under the hood where the spare tire used to go Transmission - new orielly clutch and swapped to the dual range transmission, new transmission mounts Suspension/steering - stock with adf 2inch lift and front half inch crossmember spacers, new steering rack Wheels/tires - 1992mazda b2600i aluminum 15 inch wheels redrilled with 205/75/15 general grabber tires Bumpers - front bumper: removed covering and Styrofoam and welded a winch plate to the bottom with a 4700lbs champion winch (I have a full bull bar I am working on reinforcing the stock bumper and welding the bull bar to it and moving the winch plate up and behind the bull bar along with my rounds) Rear bumper - 1/4inch steel hollow round bumper with factor bumper mounts welded on, doubles as an air tank. Lights - 1 50 inch lightbar on the hood, 2 round hella offroad lights on the bumper, 2 rear pods on the rear rack, also followed bumblebeasts write up and did the relay swap for my windows and lights Interior - stock but with aftermarket volt, mechanical oil pressure (not hooked up yet), and mechanical water temp gauges, led light strips on dome light and one in the rear hatch run off a switch by the hatch door, inverter up front next to lower dash, cb radio mounted under the glove box, replaced the rear smashed window Roof rack - 1 lockbox containing air mattress, tent, blanket, pillow, and various little things, army Jerry can, standard gas can for my generator Standard load out includes my harbor freight 900watt generator, a hilift jack (will be mounted to the roof rack this weekend) 2 piece shovel, 4drawer toolbox, crate of food, 2burner propane stove, Alice pack, 12gauge shotgun, 30-06 ruger rifle, ammo can, takedown recurve bow, 2 headlamps, 2 flashlights, repair book, clothes bag, 2 recovery straps, air hose for filling up tires with my compressor, handheld ham radio, various knives and such, more I'm probably forgetting.
  17. I'm not sure when it'll let me upload again since I've been trying do a while so here's more
