  1. welcome to USMB... we have am extensive knowledge of subarus but it looks like you will have better luck at Nasioc.com (North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club)... they have a good amount of STIs there....

  5. well a complete fluid change... maybe new axles.. brakes cleaned... and most likely a trans but we dont know it yet.. even if it needs a trans.. its worth every penny
  6. ok here we go... we just got back from the place and from playing in the snow... so it turns out the we paid 250 for a 95 legacy LS wagon... needs some tlc for sure... but what can u say for 250 bucks??? actually its quite pretty... pics to come!!!!! :banana::banana: connie has a white wagon again!

Nipper be careful if you let the alternator charge up the battery i may kill your alternator!!!! keep an eye on it for overheating or weird noises, its happened to a few of us before and it can happen again.. alternators are only good to recharge a small amount of load not a full charge... now if u cant take it back to the store call a friend or someone to help ya, its not worth getting a battery that is dead and killing your alternator

  12. i agree check the electrical connectors (negative)... a bad alternator and/or battery will do that too.. let us know what happens

  14. hats fine, bring the wife and the kids, its a great day out in the woods, make sure to bring a cooler and some sandwiches... and off course toilet paper for the girls...now as long as you are careful and dont go crazy u should break anything... but just in case our partner Tom's shop is pretty close to the woods in case something happens, plus we are all subaru guys and gals.... lets exchange cell numbers a few days before the event
  15. well since u brought up my name and all... it is ok for you to make wise rump roast remarks in my posts and all but when someone makes a comment on one of your posts you get all defensive about it... i didnt get in your case about anything, i just asked a question of since u are an automotive engineer and know it all u should know which battery u have to use!
  16. i agree walmart batteries are good.. again batteries are batteries specially for a 10yr old car... unless u go with the yellow top batteries, all other batteries are the same
  17. WHAT? u go to sears to have your battery installed? OMG!! its such an easy task! :lol::lol: ok ok well i have had god luck with walmart batteries so far and also advance auto parts batteries are goo as well for what i hear.. battery is a battery specially for a 10yr old car dont go crazy on it... hmmm arent u an automotive engineer?
