I have spare sensors I can send you for the costs of shipping. Make sure the plugs are NGK copper core and the plug wires are Subaru or NGK. Have her find a good Subaru Only shop and have her take her car there for all maintenance. Yes oil changes will costs a little more but they will know the car and not sell her things she does not need. Just my thoughts.

My brother in WI just had the same issue with his 97 Legacy Wagon. He got some line from an auto parts store and just splice it in from the junction block on the passenger side. It's the one up for sale. While it fixed the brake leak, he does not want to sell it as a running car for someone. So it's up for parts.

The bolts are holding in in place but also snug against the sealing surface. Did the bolts break or did you strip the threads out of the block? If they broke you may be able to get them out with reverse twist drills or drill and easy out. If you stripped the threads, heli coil the damaged hole in the block. You are right there now. If you put it all back together you will have lots of work to get back down to the pump. While you can most likely drive it, it depends on which two of the bolts broke. It's a roll of the dice. It's Always better to Do It Right the First Time!
