  1. You should have Dual Port Exhaust on your DOHC 2.5. - a 95 2.2 has dual port exhaust. 96 -98 2.2 are single port exhaust so you'd need to change the y pipe. Most junk yards cut those as they take off the CAT so you'd buy a new one. EGR, the best is just to make sure both engines have one.
  2. Yes. If you can match the EGR and Exhaust ports. Easy that way but there are work arounds. Much cheaper to put in a used 2.2 than do the HG on the DOHC.
  3. I have spare sensors if you want some. I like the old style tensioner and have swapped the bracket to put them in.
  4. Marketplace - 2006 Subaru Outback · 2.5i Wagon 4D | Facebook 178K mileage. Lifter noise? $2400 it looks clean and is CO car.
  5. Who did the TB change? Any idler pulleys damaged? Something locked up I'd think.
  6. I pulled and put in better carpet in the 2006 Forester but it's way thinner than other Subaru carpeting. Anyone ever used another year, model...? The 2006 Impreza OBS carpet I put in my Impreza was way better. Thanks Larry
  7. Yes, not as easy as the older ones with 4 struts all the way around. I've never checked the length of the rear shocks from one to the other. I can't imagine you'd get much lift from them.
  8. What's the mileage? Piston slap is not a huge problem. Does it go away when up to temp? I'm sure GD has more info for you.
  9. Nothing but good things: https://www.superrupair.com/ http://www.strictlyautomotivedenver.com/ I use to work with Rick and Emily at CCREngines.com Shawn worked there as well for a time. CCREngines has changed hands. The new Owners seem good as well.
  10. All the power windows I have worked with have been hard wired! Not enough draw to need a relay.
  11. Good used hub will fix it all. www.car-parts.com will give you a good idea on $$ and availability. Pick one from a rust free area.
  12. The sooner the better. End of June for sure. Yes, Colorado Springs, CO It's a roller right now and kind of have to keep it that way until it's ready for the crusher.
  13. I hate to crush it, but they didn't offer me much at the you pull and pay. Great White body. I've posted in a couple of the forms, see pics for details. What do you need?
  14. You can always put the thermostats in a pot of water and bring it up to temp and watch them open. If you have a bottom radiator hose hot, you have flow through the radiator. Proper coolant is a good thought and pretty cheap.
  15. Update 12/24/2021: Subaru extended warranties on 2012-2018 models to cover this part at least until 10-31-22. • 2022 Update. Key ... This "fix" bypasses the park-range switch that often fails in 2015-2018 or 19 Outbacks. My wife's Outback has not had a key stuck since I put in the jumper wire and no dash lights have come on (the key was getting stuck regularly). The only risk may be that you can now remove the key with the car in drive, neutral, etc. If you can't live with that risk, then you better replace the switch per Subaru service bulletin # 16-112-18R (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/201.... This same method may be able to be applied to other Subaru models. Many modern Subarus use a similar wiring harness and wiring color scheme within the shifter console. If you want to try it on your own car, do so at your own risk. Also, remember to make a video so we can all benefit from your effort.
