dealershipo told me the bulb is dead how hard is this bulb to change do i need to rip the dash apart to change it???96 legacy gt?? also is that the same bulb that my gas light uses cause that dont work either?

has anyone heard of a v chip or v check i brought my car to subaru cause it had been running like ************ i thought it was a fuel sensor or pump cause i have been racking mt brain trying to figure out what is wrong they told me my v chip was connected they told me the v chip is connected when the car gets to the dealer and thatt they disconnect them before the car is sold my car is a 1996 legacy gt is it possible this chip has been connected for 10 yrs ? now thta they disconnected it the car runs fine i want to no more info on this v chip thing

to answer the question about miles i have 94000 on it not that much. most people tell me that subarus are good for atleast 150000 as long as i keep the oil up in it.plus i have done a bunch of new things to it about 27 hundred dollars worth im hoping it will last me for awhile also i need to no the symptoms of a bad fuel pump my car hesitates on acceleration exept when the car is cold

if i bring my ca rto subaru will it cost me and arm and leg for a diagnostic check and will that be able to loacate the problem ? and yes i have also changed the plugs and the wires if i was blowing oil through my valves could that cause hesitation ?

i have a 1996 2.5 legacy i seem to be burning about a half qt a wk on a 200 mile work wk my friend drove behind me and said he seen smoke come out of the tailpipe when i downshifted and got on it alittle bit if im burning oil how much time do i have left on this engine? also when i drive for awhile sometimes the car when i press the gas it dont wanna go and then it will just like take off if i let of the gas alittle bit does this sound like a fuel pump or sensor or could this have something to do with it burning oil. i have had numerous things done to this car already like head gasket,crank shaft seals, timig belt, plugs AND wires , coil ,radiator , water pump etc etc etc etc someone PLEASE HELP

im wondering if having a bad ignition coil could cause the car to burn oil, and what are the symtoms for having a bad coil? my car burns like a half quart a wk depending on how much i drive but theres no oil puddles and no smoke out the tailpipe i fixed my crankshaft seal, pcv valve ,plugs wires etc .when i drive the car normal i press the gas and the car wont go and then all the sudden it kicks in .it seems like it happens more on acceleration going up hills does anyone have ideas 4 me does this sound like a bad coil

also what exactly is the pcv valve and and ignition coil? cuz i have a problem with my ignition sometimes my key gets stuck and i have to screw with it for awhile before i can get it out

ye there is alittle smoke that comes from the talepipe not all the time though just when i gun it and yes they did do a valve job when i had the head gasket replaced. if it is the rings how much time do i have i mean as long as i keep oil in it . the car should be alright i think...could the hesitation be oil blowing by

HI i got a 1996 legacy gt 2.5 i have had nothing but problems with the car i just had the head gasket done the heads replained new waterpump new timing belt new crankshaft seal new radiator plugs wires etc... and now the car seems to burn about a half qt a week and when im driving i feel hesitation like the car wnts to go but something is holding it back . i can feel a buck in it when im taking off almost like a turbo like the car when it hits a certain rpm its just takes off can anyone help me on this ive spent about 2500 hun on this car and dont want to spend no more HELPPPPP..
