  1. Check the "interior" fuse under the hood. If that doesn't do it, then it's probably the clock. I forget exactly what it entails, but it commonly goes bad and there's a quick fix. Search for it @ http://www.subaruforester.com
  2. Under the hood there's a yellow label on my car, I don't know if it explains much, but it deals with the security system. It's on the upper cross frame that the hood rests on when closed, towards the driver side.
  3. I've heard that you can get MAF trouble if there isn't enough straight pipe before it after the filter? Have you experienced this?
  4. I edited my first post to make it clear. The whitewalls are currently mounted on the tires facing inwards, so you can't see them in any shots. The last picture is what they would look like the other way around, and I'm asking for opinions on how they look both ways.
  5. Which I'm sure you know means Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge , not "Alakan National place to get more gas so we can keep pretending that we'll never run out of gas!"
  6. What's that supposed to mean? My photography student friends liked them. The only thing I think detracts from them are the logos and low resolution setting. I don't like the 2nd and 3rd that much. No tires changed, read carefully.
  7. Thanks. I thought it was something fuel related. Airbag stuff is pretty easy, it usually has precautionary labeling and its related wiring is wrapped in yellow wire loom. Can anybody tell what it says about it in your service manual(s)?
  8. It's under the passenger side of the rear bumper and I'm curious what it is. Thanks. edit: try that, i made it half the size
  9. I took these a couple days ago, thought I'd share. What do you think? I like all the sun, but some people don't. I took 53, these are just some. On another note, I have these tires: I think the pic got cut off, but you should be able to see most of it. These are the insides of them. Should I flip 'em over to these?: <--- this is a picture i found on eBay, not my car
  10. Ya, I think it's pretty valuable. I am planning on adding a notes section sometime, where I can explain that I only got 18 mpg for driving so darn fast!
  11. If one's rear O2 sensor failed the same test, would you replace it? B/c I know the front one is supposed to be more important.
  12. Here's my gas mileage chart as it stands right now. It's easy to do once you have it set up, then it only takes minimal effort to always know your MPG and track changes. Anyone else have something similar?
  13. Thanks! I saw a nice red 2.5GT wagon pass me today, with those BBS look-alike wheels and the hood scoop! It was sweet.
  14. You're the only one that has mentioned this. O2 sensors aren't just throwaway items like air filters. Sure they go bad but you can check. And they don't usually fail gradually. They either work or they don't. But you don't need Palm software, just get a multimeter at Autozone and test the voltage with the parameters frag gave. You could have a shop check it too, it's simple, but they might try to sell you a new one anyway.
  15. What is so special about the 97-99 Legacies? Are those the years they made the special edition ones? B/c I thought 95-99 were the years for that body style. And the Legacy 2.5GT from those years, is that turbo or not?
