  1. Thanks for the advice Ferp. I've got the timing set to full advance right now. Running premium fuel, my 0-60 is a tad over 16 seconds.... Pretty badass for thr ea82. Everything under the hood is Brand new. Including a rebuilt engine. It's running great. With the ac on, idle is great because of forced idle increase by ac pressure switch. Without the ac on, it's a tad bumpy, but not so bad. Hey there fellow Texan!! I just got back from the tawakoni area on a camping/wheeling trip on the public hunting land. I'll post pics soon.
  2. Just ordered some tires. I had a lead on some pug wheels, but it looks like the seller didn't have them after double checking.... Now I have tires on the way, and no wheels!!! Kumho road venture tires. 27x8.5x14 http://www.ebay.com/itm/192154341374
  3. Well it looks like I'm going to have to re do my whole thread since photobucket ruined my links.....
  4. Man that post made me laugh. After my last post, I stayed off of here for a while. Took some time to get my FFL finished, and get geared up for that sort of thing. Back to the Subaru now! Have you dropped your sub frame or rear axle? I really need to do that
  5. Had an awesome camping trip at the public hunting land on tawakoni lake. I took the rear lift off for the long road trip. Did lots of trails. I shredded all 4 tires haha! The car is sitting on 4 flats in my driveway. Time to get some new wheels and mud tires!!!
  6. I really need to drop my front and rear down too. I want to be able to drive long distance to go wheeling, and with my 2inch home made strut spacers, my axles are already starting to go
  7. Is this the part number that you are using for the rear? 300zx front shock. Kyb part number 341149
  8. A guy is trying to sell me some pug wheels. He has a set of alloy wheels and steel wheels. Any idea what a good price is? Also I'm waiting to hear back if he has all the lug nuts....
  9. Wow nice work man this is really cool
  10. I'm hopefully getting some steel isuzu rodeo wheels tomorrow. I'm planning on drilling the wheels not the Hubs.
  11. Anyone selling or making lift kits that are priced as they should be? Bill Omlin had them priced where they should be a long time ago.I had a lift from him on my 87 wagon. I really dont want to have to make a kit myself. If i really have to, I can. I'd rather not source steel etc. If I make it myself, ill go 5inches, because i can get 4inch pieces easily for the cross-member spacer. If i buy one, id probably stay 4inches.
  12. I may have the exact same issue as you. If I find anything I'll let you know. I've been logging all my findings on my build thread. Right now I've got the timing set at 24 degrees and premium fuel. It has tons of power, had a wierd miss that doesn't affect the power at all. But if the rpms stay steady (idle or if I hold the pedal at a certain rpm) there is a stutter
  13. Alright I'll try to find them all and check them out! Drove some trails today. Saw the biggest hog I've ever seen today. I pulled my gun, but decided I didn't want to clean a pig today
  14. Hmm I wonder if it is that sensor. I'll see if there is a way to test it. Good spot on the 4wd light. It does that all the time when 4x4 is not engaged. Is there a fusible link on these cars?
  15. After messing with the timing, the only way that I can get a good idle, is to retard the timing so much that the engine won't Rev. I set the timing to 24degrees advanced. With premium fuel the car will do 0-60 in 16 seconds. I played with the timing, and 24 degrees works best. Still has a crappy idle.
  16. I'll see if I can get it to idle better by moving the distributor around
  17. 2 videos. 1 shows the misfire This one shows MAF readings
  18. Thanks for the reply! I'm going to check out the MAF today. I'll try to clean it first. I was thinking vacuum leak, but I couldn't find any with a smoke test. I want to check the timing, but the idle is it good enough. Should any thing change in the way it runs when the green connectors are together? When I hook them up, absolutely nothing changes at idle
  19. Didnt check fuel pressure yet, but I did test the o2 sensor. It is ok. It appears that someone has tried finding this issue. All the peices I start to check have been replaced so far. I need to check the MAF next.
  20. I want to check the timing, but I cannot because of the idle. I did notice that the distributor was maxed out of adjustment in 1 direction
  21. I'm hunting down an issue. It is a misfire through the rpm range that is not very bad. It seems to affect the idle also. After the cold start idle, the idle will go up and down. It will sometimes die. If I'm driving and press in the clutch to come to a stop the engine will sometimes die. New ngk wires New cap and rotor I have check the IACV for function and resistance Ignition coil measures 1.4ohm Spark plugs 4.5ohm-4.0ohm Compression 125 psi per cylinder Smoke test showed no leaks Engine was rebuilt 2 years ago I guess I'll check fuel pressure next.
  22. I think the misfire may be causing the idle to get worse. I did a smoke test last night, no leaks ill check ignition, compression and maybe fuel pressure today
  23. Ok thanks. That's what I was thinking. The wierd thing is, as far as I can see it's not plugged in. But my oip pressure gauge works and fluctuates like it should
