  1. Anyone know what that sensor is? Look right below the dip stick loop. Looks like oil pressure sending unit?
  2. Yup it seems like my iacv is good then. I was hoping this was my idle issue. Dang. There is a miss at most rpms. But the car has plenty of power. Going to do a smoke test on it tonight
  3. I meant when I unplug the iacv not sensor. Sorry what is the CTS? I'll see what kind of resistance readings I get on the iacv.
  4. Is there any way that you could take a picture of your vacuum hoses? Someone redid all the vacuum lines when they rebuilt the engine. I'm sure several are incorrect. The sensor I'm talking about it at the bottom of the Engine. in the picture you can see the silver terminal with no connector on it.
  5. I checked out the valve today. I have 12v at the connector when reading across the 2 terminals. When I first start the car, if I unplug the sensor, it will die immediately. After the car warms up for a minute, if I unplug it, there is no impact at all on the idle or the way it runs... Still bumpy idle
  6. Awesome info!! Thank youm I'm ready to get this started. My driver front inner boot just ripped and slung out all the goods. Lasted 85 miles with the 2inch lift haha!
  7. Does anyone know what this is, and maybe what color wire it would be? Also, I think this vacuum port on the throttle body is for an auto trans? It was just blocked off.
  8. ill test the valve out and see if its working. i want to take the TB apart and give it a good cleaning, but im worried about being able to find replacement gaskets..
  9. Can anyone give me some info on iacv circuit meter readings? Like ohms out of the iacv itself, voltage to the valve from the harness at idle or key on only? It would be nice to have some reference points. I'm troubleshooting a bad idle. Trying to figure out if it's the valve, or some issue with my harness. I can see that someone has done work on the harness before... If I turn my AC on, it idles better... I read this thread and got some good info. I have the same issue. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/145212-ea82-idle-issue-cyclic-idle/ Notice the larger and lighter colored wire routed to bypass the harness here See it going into another plug? Someone ran this new wire to bypass the harness
  10. Thanks! That's what I needed to know. I want to go 4 inch, but 3 Inch body spacers will be hard to find. If I go 5 Inch, body spacers will be easy to find at 4inches, but 5inch shock spacers are not avaliable. I'd like to not have to make the shock spacers. It's really hard for me to buy stuff from other people. I'm very used to just making it myself. But I know my limits. Good info here! Do you have any pictures of your front / rear strut spacers?
  11. Are there are major differences in lift components between 4inches and 6inches? i am wanting to run 27 or 29 inch tires, and make an adventure rig. capable offraod, but still very street derivable. I will drive the subaru around alot. to and from riding locations for sure. I am about to purchase Front and rear strut spacers for my 92 Loyale. I am planning to make the rest of the lift kit myself.I have it raised on 2inches right now. I am planning the get the spacers from SJR
  12. Awesome wagon jugizmo. Wish I got a D/R with mine. I'll do a conversion on my most recent purchase if I can ever find a tranny here in Texas!
  13. really good stuff. answered some of my questions about highway rpms
  14. Awesome progress!! Sounds exactly what I am working on, but I need to find a DR tranny. We need pics!
  15. Good to know. It looks like the plate drop is the way to go. I made my 2inch spacers from tubing. What did you use for your 5inch? Did you happen to post any pictures?
  16. Are there any benefits to lowering the mustache Bar vs dropping the diff with a drop plate? I'm trying to make as much of my own loft as possible. I I lifted it 2inches, but I need to go at least 4 for what I'm wanting to do
