  1. I have a similar problem with the wifes 87T wagon. But if I back off on the key just a hair it will fire up just fine so I need to pull the ignition and clean it out. Hush
  2. I use a piece of 1x2 wood about 14" long that sets behind the prop rod, setting on the lower hinge of the rob and up against the outer housing of the prop. It sets on the car side not on the open side so there is no chance of knocking it out. Mine has lasted about a year but the edges are getting a little rounded so it is about time to replace it. Hush
  3. That seal is just for the pilot bearing, there will be no engine oil in that area. Behind it you should find a pilot bearing or bushing depends on which one got put in there.

  11. PB Blaster then a screwdriver in where the pinch bolt goes should loosen it up. Then cheater pipe on the control arm to get the knuckle to drop down. Hush
  12. On it's way. I still have some Brat parts around here if you require anything. I think I even have the whole rear swing arms and brakes. Hush
  13. Pics would be nice. My son had a brat and we had some problems with the clutch, mainly electrical though . Check the cable, it is probably wore out, and stiff. The housing end at the trany might be wore and moving sideways, or the cable might be frayed inside the housing. Hush P.S. did you get my PM?

  18. Went to Bow-wow today in boise. 345-6451 Talked to Mike the owner and he said that the front wheel bearings cross over to a VW bearing that he sells for alot cheaper. I have been getting parts there for a while and get a special discount, I paid $23.55 for the bearings and seals for 1 side. He and Paul have been great at getting me the right parts for the right price. Just a plug for them for anyone around Boise. They are on Emerald. Hush
