  1. Here are some pictures of what I have and the new ashtray that needs to go in. I would be willing to trade trim or whatever is required. Hush P.s. Pm Sent
  2. Even though I have the ashtray I do not have the mount for it. I would be willing to trade to someone the stuff in the yellow box for the same area out of one of your cars. I think for the ashtray to fit in that area I would need the other cigarette lighter also. The ashtray that I got would fit in that area but it is a little tight on the sides. Hush P.S. I would pay shipping for both (yours and mine)
  3. Thanks for the info. Haven't been able to find that body style around here that did have an ashtray. Hush
  4. Went to a yard today in calwell idaho They had about 10 loyale styles. 1 mid 80's hatch (rx looking back) only 1 newer legacy. 1 82 or so brat and 1 77 wagon that most of the interior stuff was gone but looked like it still had the engine and trans. The number there is 1-800-223-7794 or local would be 208-466-9848 Hush
  5. Yeah the diagram shows that the TCU grounds through the fuze. So voltage would not do any good there. Hush
  6. Found on this computer some of the diagrams and charts that I had downloaded several years ago and some of it was about the trans. I think that I need to run by an autozone and have them read the obd2 for codes..... The light has been on since we got the car....300,000+ miles and it was only showing knock sensor...... car was leaking bad when we got it....1 gallon per week.....1000 miles per week as a upsp delivery vehicle.... rear main leaking...... so i think the piston slap is a bit excessive and sets the knock sensor off within a couple minutes of clearing the codes.... of course then you can't tell if there are any other codes showing up. Will have it checked today and see if I can get any trans codes. Hush
  7. If you do could you take pictures of the mounting for the front ashtray? I have been running an ashtray in the cup holder for a long time and am really tired of it. I have been looking for over a year at all the junk yards around here for an ashtray, even had Jason at 1stsubaruparts.com send me a new one, but it didn't have the mount. So I'm gonna make something to fit it in there....I think:-\ Pictures or at least a discription of where it mounts and stuff would be helpful. Here is a picture of what I have now. TIA Hush
  8. I'll try that today. I think that the trans is releasing properly when I put it into park but the solenoid is not disconnecting the rear. Thereby the release when the car is shut off. How hard is it to change the solenoid if I have to go that route? Should I look for a silicone clutch pack also. (trans has over 300,000) on it. Hush
  9. Would it hurt to jump a hot wire into the FWD fuse to see if I can get the solenoid to kick in?? Hush P.S. Which side?? (engine or fender)
  10. I have read about the problems with the solenoid and other things on this trans, so I have my own thoughts about what is going on, but I would like some other opinions. This is a 97 impreza sport. Auto 2.2l When we got this car it had about 300,000 miles and several problems. Most of which we have fixed. I did not find in the records that we got any signs that the trans fluid was changed at all. It still seemed to be ok with only a slight amount of bind, mainly when backing. I changed the fuild (didn't have the ability to do a flush) and then thought that it would be good to get rid of some more of the old fluid and drained and refilled again. After the second time it started to do some strange things. More binding, and rather harsh when going into park..... also the car would release more after the engine was shut off. I put the FWD fuse in and it didn't seem to do anything, no less bind and also no FWD light on the dash. Checked today and there is no power at all at the FWD fuse. Anyone have a diagram for the wiring on this. (I have one but not on this computer, the other computer is 65 miles from the car). Any thoughts why the bind started after the second refill?? TIA Hush
  11. I personally have owned lots of subarus. Sometimes 15 at once. Just recently I was fixing a 95 pontiac grand am for my brother, (new to him) and the cruise control didn't work. Check the junk yard for a cable. Nah (only 1 grand am) Check the dealer.... Nah discontinued none available..... But I can call Jason at 1stsubarupart.com and get anything that I need for any of my vehicles all the way back to 80. Hush
  12. I think you number is off just a little. the new ntn bearings still in the box that I have are 4t-CRI-0685CS110 I know the numbers are small and it is almost impossible to tell the 3's and 5's apart. Hush
  13. My Mitchell says the part number for a 91 loyale is 906100007 Hush
  14. This is about what I found when I opened it up. This is just the parts put on a different engine that I have in the yard. Yes guys I know that the tensioner is missing a bolt and the oil pump could use some bolts. This is just so I could get some pictures to show ya!. Hush
  15. I just got home and didn't get any pictures, but will of some of the stuff. Today, came home for lunch. When we went to go back I noticed a small ticking noise coming from the engine, but the engine was idling low so I thought that it was related to that. Went on to work. After we got done for the day, I started the car up and it started fine then a small clunk and it died. Tried starting it again and it acted like the screw came out of the rotor. Checked that and nada. Thought timing belt drivers side, tensioner or idler must have gone. Had belts with me but didn't have an extra tensioner or idler. So I came home and got the wifes car some parts and headed back. Pulled everything apart and what did I find?? The nut on the oil pump had come off and the gear had removed itself from the oil pump. Not to bad in itself but in so doing, the gear for the oil pump had somehow grabbed the back of the drivers side belt and removed a line, continuous. Making the belt look like a six groove serpetine belt on the back. Other than that it was fine, no missing teeth and still able to go around all the pulleys. Of course this 1/8th inch thick 20 feet long piece of belt had to go somewhere and it chose the crank pulleys. Both of them. This in turn put enough pressure on the passengers belt to snap it clean in half. I'll get some pictures of the belts sometime tomorrow. Hush
  16. Here is a picture of one of the hook-ups. The only other picture that I have of the other line is on a turbo and it is different. The picture is from the drivers back of the engine. Crank pulley is the upper left of the picture. Hush
  17. The parts guy there is named jason and has been very helpful to me. I have purchased lots of stuff from him and gotten good prices and really good service and shipping. He even knows me by my voice........ Of course I introduced myself to him the first time as a guy from Idaho who has a dozen subarus.... I don't deal a lot with the web site I call him. It is Auburn subaru. Auburn Washington. Hush
  18. Am going to change both the atf and the 90w fluids and want to make sure that the friction modification fluid mentioned in several threads go in the right place in the trans. Hush
  19. 97 impreza outback sport. With auto trans. Would I put the fluid in the atf hole or the 90W hole for this? Hush
  20. The engine was dibbed by my old boss for one of his employees but I get everything else. I am going to talk to him about the core that he swapped that in for, I have a 2.2 in the 97 that has over 320K and was thinking about rebuilding it in the spring. I could do a short block out of the core and then just get the heads done and put them on and in the car it goes. Seems like with my life it would be easier to do the short block over the winter and then take the car down for a couple days instead of having the car down for a couple weeks. I do plan on grabbing anything that is usable off of the car including the ecu and wiring. Hush
  21. I only have one new gen:) And 10 old gen soooooooo;) Hush
  22. Will the rims off of this fit a 97 impreza outback sport??
  23. There is a wrecked 92 legacy wagon at the dump here that I can grab anything off of. Looking to see what parts might fit anything that I have. It is 2.2l MPFI engine and standard trans. Grey exterior and Grey interior. 111K miles I have several 85-91 wagons. 97 Impreza outback with 2.2L and 300+k miles Interested in trans, engine, rims, spare tire, interior trim stuff, ETC. Thanks Hush
  24. Of the 20 or so that I have had. Several were parted out due to wrecks. Some were just picked up for parts and stripped. Several of them I still have and use. 5 or 6 of them I have got, fixed the minor problems with them and then gave them away to someone who needed a rig. Hush
