I have the same mystery rattle. Only occurs during slow speed acceleration. I read somewhere that it is probably "piston slap" common on high mileage ej22's (mines at 198k). It's annoying and worrisome - at least for a paranoid freak like me. Wish there was someway to know for sure, as I rely on mine for daily driving.

Howdy yall. Wondering if anyone might know what the availability is on the smaller rubber "boot" - the one that the wires run through, cover the socket, and connect to the rear cover? Or if anyone has a slick way of duplicating the function of that piece (please don't say duct tape, please) with another material or thingy...it'd be much appreciated. Thanks

Ah, the joys of getting a "new" 22 year old car. Don't laugh it's paid for. Plus,in my humble opinion,90's JDM's just can't be beat. Anywho, my right headlight went dim. My tech checked it out (the terminal had already been replaced), screwed with the connectors, and bam...bright again. Fast forward...next day, BAM...dull again. Any KNOWN fixes for this problem? And by the way, props to all of you on this for forum. You guys (and gals...maybe) are gold! Much Thanks.

So, on the recommendation of a friend, I had this shop redo my headliner. Sunroof control worked flawlessly before the work was done, now... es no worked. Oh well, I live, I learn. No surprise, when I took it back he claimed that he didn't remove the switch or bezel (oh really, then how in the hell did you did you get godamm material underneath it!? Fucktard!). His trouble shooting method was to repeatedly push the button forward and back as if he'd just pulled a ten inch rail of biker crank. My question to ya'll is; how do I remove the bezel and switch, so that I can have a look at it myself. My specialty in auto care is limited to appearance restoration and maintenance (formerly known as detailing and car washing...we can get into that subject at another time if you'd like) and anything that requires no more than a socket set and screwdrivers. I'm iffy on interior trim...especially on older plastic trim parts. Any Advice? Thanks

Alright, you guy's seem to know your stuff on tire/wheel combo's. So, my ride is a 1995 Legacy L wagon (sexy, I know) with P185/70R14 steel wheels and poverty caps. My goal is to gain a wider stance and as much height as possible without screwing the whole thing up, i.e; rubs, and speedometer issues. P.S., The car is also in need of new shock/struts. Would any of you happen to know of an option (or options) that would accommodate my goal? I appreciate all of your feedback...the "pros" that I've been dealing with don't know shît from shineolla.

Thanks a bunch!!! I took a closer look at the door checkers and the bushings are shot. Found the parts at parts.subaru.com (part #'s 62302AC101 ; 62302AC000; 62302AC100, $39.77 each + tax/title/license). Put them on order at Subaru of Glendale,CA. These folks have been GREAT thus far! And THANK YOU AGAIN, idosubaru.

Hello again. I'm considering upgrading the wheels and tires on my "new" 1995 Legacy L. I've found some OEM 16x6.5, 5 Lug, 100mm Bolt Pattern, 55mm Offset, 5 double spoke painted alloy wheel. Subaru Part Number: 28111AE21A, 28119AG05A Indent: SB21A, A99 Model Years: Impreza '04-'05 Legacy '03-'06 Would anyone happen to know (or know of a source) if they will fit my car, and if so, what tire size would be ideal? Thanks!

PLEASE HELP ME! I Just purchased a one owner L wagon. 180k miles, great shape, but the damn doors won't stay open. Does anyone KNOW of a solution to this problem? From what I've read on the interwebs, this is a common problem (even on newer models, which is mind-boggling). Any help that yall Suby peeps might have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
