  1. Just an observation. I finally "resolved" my Check Engine Light that I posted on 2-7-05 titled "O2 Sensor Issue." My mechanic replaced 2 O2 Sensors and the CE light still went on informing that the O2 Sensor was bad. He said something was frying the sensor and he would get back to me once he did a little research. I disconnected the battery when I was doing some wiring and wa la' the CE went off and stayed off. I can't take it to the mechanic because there is no code to troubleshoot. So I am not sure that the problem is fixed, but if it fine with my Subbie, it is fine with me.
  2. Wow. This is a great site. I'll see if one of these tips work a let you all know what was wrecking the O2 Sensor. Thanks Everybody.
  3. We have 96 Outback with 112K and the "Check Engine Light" went on. Took it to our Mechanic and it was the O2 and Cam Sensors and replaced them. That lasted about a day or two and the O2 Sensor failed again, to which the Mechanic replaced for free. The new O2 Sensor died. Anybody know of a problem causing O2 Sensors to fail in 96 Outbacks? (It's a 2.2 liter, 5spd) Thanks!
