Hey, saw your ad on the message board regarding the 1997 subaru for sale in Jersey. I am located in New Jersey also by the george washington bridge and I am in the hunt for a daily driver for commuting to college/work about 25 miles a day.

I currently only have my project car (resto project 1985 300zx turbo) after having to junk a very very tired 1991 honda accord with around 300,000 miles. I am grinning my teeth having to drive this car as my daily so I am really just wondering if

A) the car still for sale?

what kind of gas mileage she gets

C) Has it passed inspection with the new engine? If it has, when is the inspection good too. A friend of mine and subaru guru said the sti swaps can sometimes hurt emissions, but this is obviously a non crazy performance engine so I am guessing all is well on that front.

D) Reliability. I really need something to get me from home to work/school, but is there anything preventing this car from performing it's job. I am a handy guy and can fix the small things, but with time being limited I can't restore another car or take on any big engine problems.

From the pictures and description, the car looks fantastic so I am hoping to hear back from you. The price is right, I currently have about $2k in the bank, and I am working to see if i can get a little from my family as they know I am some what desperate for a new automobile before the winter.
