  1. Jared, the turn around is at the far end of the campground. The shelter is right there as well. Not at the trailhead that is just for parking and would be a high traffic area. SubSandrail, you are welcome to show up if you like. I've heard rails being on the trail before.
  2. Well, I just talked to a Ranger and Evans is definitely open. Fires are permitted in provided fire rings in the campground ONLY . No BBQ's or fires in rock pits either. Propane camp stoves are allowed. If you guys are going to be there Friday during the day then you can probably grab up a few camp spots. I bet the turn around would work best and it has a fire ring inside the shelter if memory serves.
  3. Keep in mind this is just my opinion but... Too much and incomplete. It's missing the timer and the switch. If it had these other items it might be worth it.
  4. I don't think they'll fit. It may go but would probably need to be deflated. Sort of defeats the purpose of a spare. 185/70R13's barely fit. On another subject, I like your brushguard. I have the same and have only seen a couple complete ones.
  5. I'll be there. I don't know if it'll be for the whole weekend or not. Be there Saturday and maybe Sunday. Don't get off work until 6:30 on Saturday morning.
  6. Good job Skip. You beat me to it. I am curius what oil filter you are running. The spring is used the entire time your engine runs and there is alot of heat associated with oiling. $2.70 x 2 seems alot cheaper than a new set of lifters as well. But it is your call. There is a seal between the head and cam case that will look just like that oil pump gasket. It seals the oil journal that goes to the tube and check valve. Qman
  7. Mick, after viewing the pics you'll have a real good time and should have any difficulties with the trail. Your rig will be set up just fine. Ken
  8. OK, I did some peeking and I think I was part right. Which one is the latest Rich? The XT or the Legacy? Ken
  9. Can't say for sure on the '79 but my '81 Brat had the adjustable fronts on it. Qman
  10. Very interesting. Is it set up for ralleyX or AutoX? Did you remove the rear seats? Qman
  11. The two-piece driveline is the right length. Just need to have a center mount installed. Alot less money than having a one piece built. One piece drivelines have been used in Ed's Brat and a couple of Hatchbacks. Qman
  12. I have a first gen guard that can be slightly modified to fit your EA81 vehicle. Qman
  13. My guess is an XT6 or SVX. I don't think you've had either of those. Ken
  14. Richie has the only one I have personally seen. I know there are a few still around though. They were sent to Cali and Arizona to be done. Most if not all were built from fwd GL10 coupes from '83 and '84. Qman
  15. What method did you use to line up the timing belts? Are the marks on the cam gears both up or both down or opposite of eachother? Qman
  16. That's right Ed. When I broke the stub on the Rubicon I was up and running again in 15 minutes. But that too depends on which end of the stub you break. Qman
  17. The one thing you will have to do is change the driveline. The one piece from your Hatch will be too short. The two piece from the EA82 donor will be too long. So, unless you have the capabilities to do driveline work you will have to pay to have it done. The cheapest route will be the one piece set up. Other than that all you need should be available between the two cars. EA82 flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate, throw out bearing. The bolt holes will be a little bit bigger than the EA81 flywheel. This shouldn't be a concern. Just make sure you use blue loctite when you put in the flywheel. Good luck, you'll enjoy it. Qman
  18. Very good links Mike. I'll check them out more when I have more time to read. Ken
  19. Email or post attention to Chef Tim. He did this exact thing and should have all your answers. Ken
  20. I think the specs call for 80w/90 but the Castrol should be just fine in both. Ken
  21. Here's what I see. The fuel tank really limits air flow. But that is obviously where it needs to go. What is the original application of that radiator? It looks kind of small. I think some sort of ducting could be the answer. Either from the bottom or the left side. Do you have any pics with the seats and body panels on it? You might need to relocate the radiator to the front of the motor. Ken
  22. Have you verified that the disty is turning? I don't know the history or what caused the current problem. Care to shed some light on this for me. Qman
  23. Very good information. I do need to make one correction though. The EA71 did indeed come in a hydraulic application. The JDM(Japanese Domestic Market) EA71 had hydraulic lifters. Qman
