Thanks to Tim and Tony. We really do appreciate the fact that some people took notice of us as more than a threat. We were there for the thrill and got what we bargained for. I just did some checking and Naches is definitely closed. It appears that all the ORV parks are open though. Qman

I just checked the fire reports. Evans is open and does have a couple of small campgrounds. There will be NO fires in the forest this summer. It would take a couple of weeks of straight rain to remedy this. There are many trails we haven't been on at Evans that may be interesting besides I have a date with upper 311 for a little get even. The other's would be good as well but Walker really isn't for the greenhorn or non 4 wheelers. Elbe is sort of the same as Walker. Sultan Basin has miles and miles of forest roads and I'm sure there are quite a few trails to run as well. Let us know what you come up with. Ken

I'm a little confused here. There are no metal cooling lines connected to the radiator. Automatic transmission cooling lines go to the radiator but have nothing to do with cooling system. A/C condensor lines go from the drier to the condensor but also have nothing to do with cooling. I would have someone look at it in person before any work is authorized. Qman

It may be the wiper control under the dash. The most likely culprit is the wiper motor itself. It is pretty easy to replace. Qman

Jamie, I don't know if you have any of the Hatch when I ran it before the "Taste". But if you do I'll gladly take them. Save the stamp and send them with Gary. I can pick them up on my way home. The Hatch tank is smaller than all the rest. I will not fit without modification as far as I know. You could set them side by side a verify what the differences are though. K

As far as tank types, there are 5 different types for EA81 cars. 2wd and 4WD for Brat's, wagons, sedans and 2wd coupes. The Turbo's had their own tank and the Hatch has it's own tank, either 2 or 4WD. For EA82 cars there is indeed only one tank. It has the dimple in the tank so that the diff will fit. As far as fitting a 2wd tank into a 4WD EA81 car. It will require dropping the entire rear suspension to 4". Anything less will require massaging the tank if you will. A 2wd tank in the Hatch will give you about 1 1/2 more gallons of fuel. Not really that much considering the amount of work required. Q

Woody, why do you think people have the impression of the POR? My guess is it's people like you who shoot of their mouths with nothing to gain. Maybe you should go back and read any and all the posts on your board. If you feel bad because we tried what hadn't been done before or threatened because of where we did indeed get to Oh well. We did have damage just like any other participant on the trail could expect. So, why is it such a big deal that we broke things? Oh, BTW, I only broke one thing and it took 15minutes to fix. I didn't have rocker or chassis damage. My door all work just fine and as a matter of fact it looks the same now as it did coming off the trailer going in. See ya' I'm out.

Hmmm, Not much to add except that those who supported us rock...those who didn't:moon: We did what we set out to and more. We took three mostly untested rigs into the 'Con" and drove them out. We had damage but not what we were told would happen. Suspension and axle damage but not any body damage to be seen. This is not a trail for the faint hearted or unexperienced. BTW, I took my Brat in with about 50 miles on a new motor and drove it like I stole it then drove it back to Eugene. We stopped and chatted with many drivers along the way. I'm still tired from the week. I'll add more later. Qman

Well, I am almost loaded and ready. Thanks for the support from all. Definiately going to be one of those life experiences. I just hope we don't get lynched sooo deep in Jeep country.
