Bonney Lake, in the boonies because I can't walk to a 7-11.

Actually, I have been told that the STi dipstick is shorter. It allows for more oil than the standard 2.5 liter dipsticks. They run a 1 qt. larger capacity from what I have been told. I have not seen it with my own eyes. But my Subaru parts guru tells me that they do have a different part number and hold more oil.

Actually, a lot of old GM stuff ran 4.11-4.10. It is more than fine.
-
It may have been upgraded over the years. It may have the bigger one because of the turbo. The bigger one will hold better.

Pics came through just fine here as well.

What Is This Thing & Where Do I Get a Good One?
Qman replied to Subarule's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
LOL, it's supposed too! -
Thanks man, Actually, Travis is a really nice guy. We were in the car for about 20-30 minutes. I have had several long conversations with him over the last 4-5 yrs. Typical Olympus Rally. Rainy and crappy in Tahola. Sun came out and got wind/sun burned a litlle in South Bend. Started with 51 cars and ended with about 34. Good memories from this one.

Right ... don't be stupid about it.
-
You will have to contact him via email. He hasn't been here in 11 months...

It did come with it. About half were replaced with non-adjustable after market struts. Fixed it.
-
The '87 does have height adjustable unless it was replaced at some point in the past. If it had broken torsion bars it would not be driving down any roads let alone a gravel road at speed. Broken torsion bars mean broken, sagging, on the bump stop suspension.

BFG A/T's, hands down. They are a truck tire and have better sidewall protection. The Firestones are car tires designed for the street. Zero sidewall protection. And, why would someone take an SVX off road?
-
Sounds like you answered all of your own questions. While the suspension was not designed for luxury by any means it shouldn't beat you unless it is in need of replacement. New shocks/struts are available but getting harder to find. Tires contribute a lot to comfort of drive. But, the softer the tire the less life it will have off-road.

Where are the rear speakers in a 94 Loyale SW
Qman replied to solakian's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yes, door for 4dr and wagons. Subs and boom box speakers in the rear hatch area. -
Only good for specialty BRAT parts. Anything else could be found cheap. If you cam get it for under $100 I would buy it as a parts BRAT.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY IT IS SO HARD TO SPELL THAT WORD ON THE INTERNET! Seriously! As far as the car goes. Put the motor in. Less work and you'll have a car that is worth ~$1000.00 maybe more depending on condition. Part it out will take a lot of effort and time to remove parts, ship them if so inclined. And you already said you really do not want to put a bunch of energy into this. I would probably try to sell it for a couple of hundred dollars as is and get out from under it.

Short on money, exhaust ideas

2 solutions are to have a y-pipe built or to find a used one from a member near to you. I have had them built in the past, with and without cats. -
Good for you. I'll see it soon.
