  1. All you are doing is removing the 2nd O2 from the system. It now appears that the cat is working correctly. Which it isn't. You won't get the code any more. But the problem still exsists. You have fixed nothing. My objection is that it is illegal. In any state that has an inspection it can result in a fine. It is fine that you do it. But, you can not tell someone to do that as the correct fix. That is why I see it as a band-aid.
  2. "V" engines do not use intake spacers. Therefore, they can not know how they work on "their" application as there is not one!
  3. It takes 10 minutes to install. Any gains make it worthwhile. Air temps are lower therefore making the charge temps lower. The TB spacer is for extra velocity. The intake spacers are for lower intake temps. It seems your fan club is going to your head Rick. You used to research a lot more than this in the past!! And yes, I have seen this on the dyno. It is a small gain by itself. When coupled with other mods it makes a significant difference.
  4. Simply stating, Rick, you are wrong this time. Read up some more and you may find the "right" info!
  5. We finally agree about something!! Seriously, there is hard proof that TB spacers work as well as intake spacers. Opinions without actual knowledge of something is just that, an opinion. TB spacers, intakes spacers, even the tornado(true gimmick) work to improve power and mileage. I have witnessed dyno runs with these added have true improvement. Even an electric leaf blower will add power. The idea behind a TB spacer is used for slightly lengthening the runner prior to the intake runner. It is designed to improve torque. Intake spacers lower intake temps which is ideal for getting a denser charge. All of these will improve power.
  6. A fully laoded Brat with A/C would go for $8787. I believe the price for A/C was $549. This price appears to be for an '82. http://www.indysworld.com/80s/brats/mags-acc/mag-index.html
  7. I agree, hotdogs only. There is someone from NASIOC bringing a dutch oven and he is making cobbler. I am bringing a camp stove with water and a couple of tables. There will be a couple of pop-ups as well.
  8. Subie people never refuse food! Sounds like a good idea. Maybe get some people to add to the menu. We never have done a buffet style lunch before.
  9. As we will not be open on Friday lets do this a little early. 2.5 SOHC heads, oversized valves, 1000 or 2000 grind cams. $800.00 Price is good until 4:00 PM Tuesday, 11-24-09. I have one set available at this price. Ken
  10. You may not be aware of the episodes of NASIOC. But handle all group stuff with pm's.
  11. I'm sure you have done it before. But, I do know how these guys think. So, yes, it was a valid point for others.
  12. Within reason guys. Don't get silly and bring out 24"+ as it is not neccessary. A small bow saw is more than adequate for this job.
  13. This is the pdf from the forest service. It covers all the rules and fines if you do not follow them. http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/mbs/news/2009/Christmas_Trees09.pdf And the forest service website. http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/mbs/news/2009/nr-2009-christmas-tree-permits-20091110.shtml
  14. Yes, a bow saw works best, well second only to a chain saw.
  15. Answering your question about certification for pre-owned. I do not know that there is a charge for that. There is a strict set of requirements to be certified. Has to have OEM parts. Basically, it has to pass an inspection and be brought back to factory spec on all safety items. You should not have a problem finding the car you want in Denver. The cost of it being a certified pre-owned is different from state to state. In Washington it will make it worth almost top dollar.
  16. Great to hear Jesse. Stop by the shop and let me know for sure.
  17. Dim lights could be a bad ground then. The module is under the dash by the colum on the outside towards the kick panel. Turn on the key and feel/listen for the click.
  18. The tail lights could be the switch on top of the column. The relay sound and flashing lights sound the either the remote lock or alarm controller are not working correctly.
  19. Look for a red Legacy GT with PIA decals on the rear quarter.
