  1. If it doesn't stop soon this one will probably get cancelled as well. Not an official word but just my opinion.
  2. Nice, what are the plans for replacing the upper core support?
  3. Silly question but... did you take the roll pins out?
  4. It will last a long time with proper maintenance. They have been known to hit 400-500,000 miles. But, from a performance perspective, they still suck. Too many bad designs at one time. I too speak from experience. I have ran them with holes in the top of the blocks. And with axles so bad they were literally flopping in the cups. I have even owned EA82T's. I have one now. Put belts on it and set it up for my kid. Nothing better than a slow car for a teenager. After putting it back together I had to call Turbone and have him drive it. It was so slow I thought something had to be wrong with it. I have built many motors over the years. Some were good investments. Some were not. The only advice I can give is to make sure that anything you do to it is done with a simple formula. Air in - air out. Anything you do to improve the air in has to be done to allow air out. And to 91Loyale...pfft. You'll need to do better.
  5. How exactly can you write those two things in the same paragraph and not laugh as histerically as I did when I read it? Most of your post is double talk and rhetoric. I apologize for my bluntness but come on. Make a point or don't post.
  6. Shouldn't really use the cc on long hills anyway. Just glad you didn't think it was auto-pilot!
  7. Completely bad advice, sorry! I just repaired mine. Remove the housing. Clean/remove all the old seal. Clean the body around the contacting surfaces. I used 3/8" windowweld butyl sealant. Cost was $13 for a box that did 4+ tail lights. My daugthers were leaking as well. All dry now!!
  8. There are things that can be done. The benefits are very small. The cost is usually expensive in relation to the benefit received. Bigger turbos stress the already prone to explode head gaskets. Bigger exhaust helps but then you are dealing with the extra and higher noise levels. Tune it, fix the oil leaks, drive it, then modify it(EJ22/T or EJ20). Search for WJM or Tex's posts on the subject.
  9. He is not a topic nazi... but I am! Talk Mopar in other vehicle conversations or in off-topic. This is a Subaru forum. Nothing against old mopars just not here! Signed, your prominent staff member
  10. Hi all - bad news, Rallycross this weekend is CANCELLED due to high mud and water problems, (hopefully one of the projects for this summer will be drainage!!!) The Rallycross committee will put their calendars together and we will come up with a reschedule date and post it as soon as possible. Thank you all for using the pre-registration tab on the website to register, it makes planning much easier. Now if mother- nature would just cooperate. We will hold the green beverages for the reschedule weekend. From PRG mailing list email!
  11. With this attitude you will be. This type of business is no longer taken lightly here. Too many things have happened over the years to allow this. If you continue in this manner you will not be allowed to play here. Consider that before you hit the reply button next time.
  12. No more excuses. No more rhetoric. Get this handled without excuses before they even arrive.
  13. Seperate case, same situation! Noted all the same.
  14. Please do not do this. He owes those who paid. All that paid will be taken care of or he gets a permanent ban. Correct on both counts Skip!
  15. It was Subiesport. It was a good write up for sure. The guys at Delta will treat you right. I have been dealing with them for years. The last 6 yrs in Subarus. Jon and Scott will treat you right, every time! Been sponsoring me for a long time.
  16. I gave him a temporary ban(1 week) to put some pressure on him to fix this problem. He has contacted me expressing that he understands and will get the matter resolved by the 5th. His contact email is Robbie_terry05@hotmail.com Please add your name if you have not received your calendar. Also please add when you have it. Then and only then will he be reinstated.
  17. Times up! Let's get this handled please.
  18. I do not recall ours having one. I'll check the block and let you know.
  19. I did the exact swap. '93 Impreza 1.8 with 275,000 miles. Pulled motor out and installed a '96 2.2 from a Legacy wagon. Use the intake manifold from the Impreza. that way the electrical just plugs back in. You can run it with the 1.8 ECU. I used the exhaust header pipe from the Legacy. Had the rest of the exhaust built to match. Huge difference in power and only slight drop in MPG. Makes doing the pass to eastern Washington much nicer.
  20. If you are set on replacement and are considerring rebuilding them you should contact Delta camshafts. They have started a line of rebuilt heads. Very nice work and a much better way to go than finding a good used head.
  21. It may always be clean but heat breaks down oil. Thus causing the oil to lose viscosity. Which means it will lose it's ability to lubricate.
