  1. If you have the answers then why are you asking the questions? If this is just a poser(your words) then why are you worried about 10-15 lbs. Yes, that's about the most you could possibly save in weight reduction. Besides, by mixing aluminum with steel bolts you will get a dissimilar metal corrosion. I would be far more worried about that then cracking on a street poser. If you ask the question you should be prepared to accept the answer. If you are not then do not ask the question. You have gotten responses from 3 lift kit manufacturers. Not to mention some who have built there own lifts and rigs.
  2. My lift is like no other, unfortunately. When I installed the rear axle I centered it in the wheelwell. I moved the front end forward 2 1/2". Mine is about a 4" body and 6" suspension in the rear and 10 " body lift in the front.
  3. See ongoing thread here, http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43428
  4. 3 Impreza's, all run & drive '99RS '96 Brighton coupe '93 "L" sedan 3 Legacy wagons, all run & drive '92 "L" '92 Turbo '93 "L" 2 Brats, both run, only one drives(at the moment) '85 Beauty '86 Beast 1 '89 XT6, runs & drives 1 '86 GL10 sedan, runs and drives So, 10 run and 9 drive.
  5. It's been done. They are not designed for continued use(temporary spare!) A guy I know did it and they were crap. Always bending and were very narrow. Feel free to prove us wrong though. Also good luck finding someone who will mount them. The guy I know worked in a shop and mounted his own.
  6. That fits for Washington as well!! :-p Come north man. For cry from the mildness that is SD but you'll adapt and love it all the same. Besides, you'll need someone to wheel with when the Brat is done!!
  7. True Mick, but you took IFS/IRS one step further!!
  8. It will make for a good pick. Mine will be even taller when I get the new mods done. Avatar=support!!
  9. Properly prepared rigs don't need to put the hammer down. Nice work!
  10. Rooinater had some stuff on his site somewhere.
  11. I hope there is this much enthusiasm when we actually start the planning phases of WCSS8.
  12. $2.34/ea through Subaru. Must have something to do with the brass and rubber combination. Sorry, best I could do.
  13. heard about it. Nice to see ya' back in the saddle PK!!
  14. If the HH is bad it should be leaking from the top.
  15. The cable may be disconnected but it still has fluid lines running to and from it. I would be sure to check the wheel cylinders as well. Call me if you have questions on removal. Ken
  16. NO! Definitely not for a C-note. Especially not off of a running/driving car.
  17. My guess would be that you were asking people to MEET you and go somewhere. Snow is always a fun time.
  18. Under accelleration would indicate ping or detonation. What grade gas do you run? Try higher grade gas and timing adjustments. You should be able to adjust some of the ping away and better gas should help as well. Stay away from AM/PM fuels for performance and mileage.
  19. Are you able to modify a 2.5 throttle body for more umph? If so, let me know what you can do and how much.
  20. Well..... That is pt# not application. They do not go on a ER27 they are ER27 bearings.
  21. That or the idle is low and won't excite the alt right away.
  22. Follow this link, http://www.usmb.net/gallery/album15 It should take you to the brochures from the 80's. Good luck!
  23. Can't answer a question that doesn't have enough info. Give us specifics like model, year, engine and fuel system. Then sit back and watch the masters polish the crystal balls.
