  1. Either the clutch disc is spent or the plate has lost tension. Either way it sounds like it is time for a new clutch set. Or, have you had the flywheel turned lately?
  2. The front suspension and brakes are from a Legacy. The struts/shocks are indeed KYB GR-2's. The front springs are Legacy as well. I can't be certain if the rear springs are XT/6 or wagon. I tried the Honda front spring mod and couldn't compress them so I took them off. Not to mention that it was another 4 or 5" taller than now.
  3. Geoff, there is a blue '85 GL hatchback and a rust colored '80 or s Hatchback as well. They both have hatches and seats. The '80 has a slanted center radio console. Both have the side glass and all brackets should be intact. One of them should also have an EA81, if you wanted to upgrade. Just need to change the bellhousing I believe. Kind of funny that you end up with a Hatchback isn't it. Now you just need to get a 4WD and a lift, LOL
  4. Got the parts together for the 1.8 to 2.2 upgrade. The '93 Impreza L is getting new('96) 2.2, rear sway bar, STi ver5 suspension with whiteline springs, WRX take offs and new tires. Then the boy will get the ody work and paint. Should turn out nice when we get it completed. Then, we get to play with the '96 Brighton-2.5RS upgrade!!
  5. Same platform. It will fit. It will do nothing for offroad. You need a LSD not a VLSD.
  6. Nice! Looks like a fun area. I am itching to get out again and play with the toy(mine and Eric's).
  7. I would suggest that you check them after each wheeling trip. After the first five times for sure. Then after every five or so after that. Anyone that does this type of modification to their vehicle needs to understand that they just made a high maintainence vehicle. This requires special attention and servicing by you on a constant basis. Your safety and the safety of others depends on it.
  8. What ORV park is near Renton or are you at school?
  9. They don't pull. They give you a 30 day warranty for returns. A comp test will be tough to do there as they have removed the batteries and do not allow them out in the yards.
  10. One side will have a plastic cover over the pin, I believe. Remove that cover and push to that side. It should pop right out.
  11. Credit Wayne from PDX Here mine Chris. This is the bar usually used when seats are in the rear. The low bar really restricts use.
  12. They were offered on '81-2 wagons and '82 Brats. They were operated by a switch and timer system. They only operated with the low beams. When the high beams were activated the center light would shut off automatically. It would relight after the high beams were lowered.
  13. I think you are right. Where does the line go inside the car? Have you traced it yet? I don't remember if that one had dealer or factory A/C. If dealer install it may be a vacuum line for it.
  14. I own all of them! I still watch them as well. I don't need another copy but I will contribute all the same. These show the history of the Hatch Patrol from the very beginning. Buy the whole set!!!
  15. The car is cool and all but you'll enjoy the dog even more. Husky's are probably one of the most charazmatic animals ever. I have a Husky/Shepard mix. Both parents were pure. They are funny, attention hogs that will talk to you and keep you on your toes for many years to come. We love ours!
  16. If they will trade straight up then do it. 14" Scorpions can't be had in the US unless they are bought in Australia and shipped here. I only know of one other set. They are as strong as any other option and look better!
  17. The Subee independent suspension is why he drives a 'yota offroad!
  18. Gary, left vs. right, won't swap. Your axles will swap side to side. Be very careful when driving out the bearings. After they are out check very closely for any damage from removal. Repack the bearings prior to installation. Good luck!
  19. From what he described I believe he is talking about Brett from BYB. You can check here, http://www.ausubaru.com/ As far as getting 5 lug on your car check out the Dr.'s site for info on another option.
  20. He wants lug hole size, not the wheel hole size. I believe the easiest way is to buy the studs and determine the size from them. Yes, I have done this mod. One of the first to do it, actually. And yes, I am too lazy to go out to the garage and check the bit size.
